Good: Heavy and solid. Spinner is smooth and long-spinning. Bolt mechanism feels smooth and clicky, has a slight "ping" like a tuning fork fidget. Not so good: Bolt mechanism has a bit of wobble/play. I would prefer it to click into each position and feel tight. Overall this is a good quality replica of the original.

Update on 7/8/2025: Just thought I'd share some updates after messing with the fidget toy. First, putting a stronger spring did not improve the sound. I put a pen spring in that is slightly longer than the one it comes with, but it ended up making it quieter. I went to the product page of the real one, and it turns out the real one has what they call "4mm tetroxide Teflon beads". I looked into it, and it looks like that isn't a real thing. I believe they were referring to PTFE beads. This one comes with what seems like a metal bead. I may purchase some PTFE beads to try it out and see if that makes a difference in the sound. For the spinner, I did some research, and it turns out that the reason the spinner gets worse is because of the fact that the ball bearing it has from the factory has some lube, which makes it quiet. I cleaned mine out with isopropyl alcohol and dried it out, and it spins almost as much as it did when it was new. I tried putting some lubricant, and that made it very quiet and smooth, but it would only spin for like 2 seconds, so I cleaned it out entirely. It seems that ball bearings spin freely the best when they have no lube and are very clean. When you add lube, it makes it more likely to gather dust, which will make it perform worse over time. I found a ratchet kit on AliExpress for about $30, so I bought it, and I will update my review once I add it on. Original review: I don't own the real Musketeer, so I can't compare it to the real one, but the toy itself is fun. I'll give 4 stars, since it does have the same functions as the real one, at 1/4 the price. The quality of it is a bit questionable, but it still functions, and I'm happy. The slider has been consistent. I wish it came with the other hardware the real one does, and you'd expect it to since it says you can replace the spring and ball, but it does not. The sliding isn't as tactile as I'd like it to be, but it isn't so bad. I read that replacing the spring with a pen spring may help, so I plan on trying that. It doesn't quite sound like a zippo when you slide it (the real one does), but it does make a pinging noise that is kind of like a zippo. After playing with the spinner for a few days, it has definitely become a lot less smooth. When I first got it, the spinner would spin for a very long time (probably up to a minute), but now it only goes for about 15 seconds and it sounds like it's rubbing against something (probably just need to clean it). Over time. The screws that hold the bearing in (not the actual spinner) got loose, and tightening those is quite difficult without the right tools. I really wished the seller had the ratcheting set on their Amazon store as well, especially since the pictures say you can install it. While I like the spinner, I would much rather have the ratchet. Hopefully they add it in the future. I installed the push buttons the seller has on their store, and I'd say it definitely improves the toy a lot. I highly recommend getting it (or just buy the version that includes it). I haven't had any other screws walk out on me, but I did tighten them when I got the toy.

Almost the perfect fidget! If the nub/notch on the barrel was able to be pushed or spring loaded…that would make it perfect IMO! Nice weight, very solid, and hefty. Perfect fit in one hand.

I was really impressed at first. The weight feels good, it's not so small that it becomes uncomfortable. But what really impressed me was the spinning bit on the end. At first, it spun for a really long time. I even timed it and clocked 40 seconds until it stopped spinning on its own. But then it just sort of stopped working. After just a couple of hours using it absentmindedly at work, it'll spin for maybe three or four seconds before squeaking to a stop. Sometimes it refuses to move at all. I even tried spraying it with some WD-40 and it hasn't helped. It's as if it wasn't made to be used for it's only function. The rest of it feels great, but the bit I found most satisfying ended up defective. Edit: circular part on the slider managed to unscrew itself, which is the bit that they don't send a tool for. Hoping I have one that'll fit at home, but I'm doubting it, and it shouldn't be my responsibility in the first place for something that shouldn't be falling apart with normal use. So both mechanisms are now largely unusable. Gone from what I initially thought was a five star product to one star in a matter of less than three short days.

It's a nice, weighty fidget toy. If you're creative how you play with it, there's more to do than first impression might give you. I like it. It comes in a nice little case with two tools... and that's the problem. It needs three tools. Mine didn't come with a tool to fit the little hex screw on the slider, and that's the one part that keeps coming loose. If you're going to include tools, include tools that fit EVERY screw. Would have been 5 stars if it did. This is too simple a thing to miss.
