Just like hospital compression socks
These are perfect post-surgery socks. I went to a specialty pharmacy and saw the price tag was over $100. I decided to give these a try and so glad I did. They were comparable to the socks the hospital gave us. Even after hand-washing they are still perfect. Size is true to form. I DID NOT enjoy putting them on my husband due to my aversion to feet and they are difficult to get past the heel. Pro-tip: cut the end of a plastic bag off and put that over the foot. Sock slides on and you can slide the bag out. It’s much easier, less comical. 4 weeks post op and no blood clots. Way to go socks!

Comfortable
This helped me after my surgery. Is it to put on. It’s true one of them can I slice a little bit down from the top but I put somebody lotion on my leg and it seems to work to hold it a little bit better. Otherwise it feels comfortable is open to that is very important for me. Let’s face it. We’re in a stocking is not the most comfortable thing to go through. But with this one, I feel comfortable not too much pressure that cuts my circulation, just pressing enough to help me through my recovery.

Good compression stockings, but a bit weak at the top (thigh)
These are good compression stockings and I used them for weeks after a surgery. They lasted much longer than the ones I was given at the hospital. I took one start away because the elastic band at the top that should keep it up on the thigh is weak and I found they rolled down the thigh toward the knee after just an hour or so. Even afer hand washing and air drying them, the top elastic band never really recovered and was always a bit loose. While it was a minor inconvenience, the stockings provided all the support and compression needed in the knee, calf and foot and worked well.

Comfortable if you get the right size
I have two pieces of advice for anyone who purchases these: use the sizing chart to get your correct size, and inspect them when you receive them. I got these for use after a spider vein treatment. One of the stockings fit perfectly - it was surprisingly comfortable (after the slight struggle to put it on) and stayed up on my thigh as designed. The other one kept falling down to my knee which made it really annoying. When I viewed them together, it was evident that the top band of the annoying one was much larger than the other. I didn’t discover this until after the procedure so I had no choice but to deal with it as is until I could get another pair.

Your most important purchase if having knee replacement surgery.
These stockings are number one in my book for knee replacement surgery recovery. The stretch is good, they are not impossible to get on, the stocking never got too tight with the swelling I had. I purchased several pair and would recommend them to anyone having knee replacement surgery.

Not worth the price. Poor fit, snag spontaneously, roll down and dig in.
I've spent hundreds on compression socks and stockings over the last several months trying to keep mysterious and severe edema under control, and these were THE worst ones by far. I took them out of the package, put on my donning gloves, proceeded to put them on, and within minutes, I noticed a run from the top of the thigh to below the knee! To make matters worse, they do NOT stay up, and aren't long enough to go over the thickest part of my thigh. The silicone dots are a joke. They ended up rolling down in the middle, to where there was a tight small roll/creases/bunched up fabric right below my knee and above my calf, tight to the point where it looked like my leg was a balloon animal, twisted at the knee, or like a chunky baby leg that looks like there are rubber bands around the joints! I have another pair of thigh highs from another brand, but they are black and closed toe. I've worn them a dozen times and not a run or snag anywhere. They also creep and roll down, but stop between the thigh and knee and dig into the backs of my thighs. However, those ones are long enough to go up to my butt cheeks in the back, and over my thighs completely, and they stay up as long as I am mostly inactive. I could never leave the house or run errands in either pair... without skin friendly adhesive, they'd end up at the knee or ankle for sure. I am 5' 7.5", 225 lbs., long, slender "chicken legs" with ankles that are skinny and weak. I am obese and carry my weight in the middle. With the edema, my leg measurements match the size chart shown for L. I don't know why nobody can design a better fitting compression stocking. I have to have the thigh high ones, and most of them are in the $30 range. They're always too loose at the ankle and foot even with extreme edema! Then too tight and won't stay put from the knees up! I'm a large woman, and the max size I can find with the better known brands is XL. This brand said I needed a L instead. WRONG. They get 1 star for softness, and 1 for price ($14 - the lowest - at time of purchase). But if they don't fit well, fall apart immediately, and likely to do more harm than good, they're worth less than free, IMHO.
