I Love Lucy Adult Wig

The wig was absolutely adorable and it was the perfect look but it does run very small. I read several reviews saying this wig was made extremely small, and it most certainly is. I ordered this wig thinking I would have to pin the wig in several places, but it actually ending up fitting my 3 year old perfectly. A adult with a extremely small head may can pull this off, but someone with a bigger head definitely could not wear this. However, the wig was PERFECT and it was a huge hit! The wig was cute as is, but I did tie a bandana around her head and it made it ever better.

While I expected a "costume wig", I was disappointed to find this wig was more accurately fit for a tween or teen. It has a lot of short hair on the top and the long hair that needs to be pinned for this look starts too far in the back (more like a red mullet). Not at all like the image even with substantial styling. My costume didn't make the cut bc the wig wasn't what I expected.

I purchased this wig for a Lucy costume. Like the description says, the wig runs small, but it worked for me. I had a bit of my natural hair showing near my temples, and I gathered the length of my hair into a bun at the back of my head, which did show a little beneath the wig, but none of it was that noticeable. I guess someone could put a cap over their regular hair, but I didn't know if it would be comfortable. (And it's just a costume.) I liked the quality of the wig hair, and it does look like a Lucy wig. The wig is a little scratchy, but comfortable enough to wear for a couple of hours at a time. The scratchiest part was probably the bangs. Also, it was pretty easy to remove and put back on, so if I needed to take a break from the wig, putting it on again didn't really require readjustments. (I just needed to have a mirror to make sure it looked okay.) I bought a white bandana, thinking that it might cover the tiny bit of my natural hair that showed, but in the end, I decided to tie the bandana, as if it was a headband, around the the middle of the wig, tucking the bandana strip behind my ears and tying it at the base of my head. Wearing the bananda styled the wig into a good shape.

I read the reviews about how terrible this wig was and that it was too small to even fit a child. But decided to purchase it nonetheless. The truth is, this wig would be too large to fit a small child. I have a very average size head and this wig fit just like it was supposed to.I think where the confusion lies is that the hair style of this wig is meant to mimic the up-do that Lucille Ball used to wear. The mesh part of the wig fit my head perfectly, but the sides were shorter than other wigs, again, because it was supposed to mimic a hair style that has the sides pulled up. Yes, a small bit of my hairline showed above my ears, but I wore a ribbon in my hair which covered it perfectly. This was for a Halloween costume, so it really was perfect for what I needed!The wig itself was good quality. The hair was soft and I was able to fluff it up to make it look nice and use hairspray to hold it in place. I received a ton of compliments on it and how great it looked.If you know what you are getting, the style the wig is supposed to represent, and don't want to spend a fortune or a ton of time... this wig was perfect!

I was looking for a wig to wear with a dress I found to do and I Love Lucy costume at my Funko meeting in October. This helped pull together the costume. It was good quality, soft and the color was perfect

Took a little bit of styling and a lotta bit of hairspray to get it to look like Lucy's actual hair style, but overall, I'm very pleased!! Had to pin down each curl individually, and I have NO background in hair dressing at all, but I managed to make it work. Very nice feature to my Halloween costume this year! (Also, highly recommend using a hair scarf or bandana of some kind to hide some of the areas where your natural hair around your ears, nape of the neck, and some "bald spots" where the netting in the wig cap very obviously shows. It was a very easy fix!!

This wig is far too small for an adult head. The side flaps sit at least an inch above my ears, making it impossible to hide my own hair. The color and style are exactly as pictured. The style is not like a mullet as other reviewers have written; however, it is so badly sewn together that the hair fibers don't stay in this style, but fall all over the place making it more like a clown wig. I searched for a replacement wig for my Lucy costume, but can't find one. So I must use this disappointing wig and hope that tying a scarf around my head will hide my own hair, hold the wig on my head and conceal some of the straggling bits.Update: The scarf concealed the problems with the wig and my costume and wig were the hit of the party.

I make a lot of costumes and am good at working with pieces that aren't quite right, but this wig could not be salvaged. First, the hair was much skimpier than the wig in other review photos, so maybe they have a new manufacturer? Regardless, it was thin and there wasn't much of it. Second, I have an average size head but this wig left about 3" of my hair showing on the sides, plus either the back had to be pulled up too short or my hairline would show in the front. I read that others managed to cover the gap with a bandana or ribbon, but that didn't work with the wig I got, the gap was too big and too long.

Exactly. What a Halloween costume is made of at the Walmart wore it fit great looked great for the standard of costume.

This wig for a costume looked nothing like the picture on the package. Will be returning it.

Really good wig! Colour is perfect, and it fits small but as long as you use a wig cap and bobby pins to secure it you shouldn't have a problem. Very happy with this wig for the price.

For the price, my expectations for quality were low. This was even worse than expected.The coverage is thin, the colour is awful, and it's sized for a small child. I would pay more for something better. Look elsewhere.
