A young man (a seventeen-year-old Jackie Chan) is instructed in the martial arts by an old beggar, but keeps his skills a secret from his disapproving father. However, his abilities are put to a public test when he is forced to protect his uncle's restaurant from the brutal attentions of an extortion ring. The film was a cruel attempt to cash in on Chan's early success and is largely a collection of out-takes from his other early films, most notably 'The Cub Tiger From Kwan Tung'. It even features another actor wearing a blindfold to disguise the fact that he's not Jackie!

Avoid this version like the plague!!!
Don't be fooled by the DVD cover - this is actually "The Master With Cracked Fingers". Not only that, but it is possibly the worst copy I have ever seen - seemingly transferred to DVD from a VHS tape. It is full frame (pan & scan) as opposed to the wide-screen copies available elsewhere, and is dubbed into English. There is no Chinese language available on the DVD, and no subtitles. This is clearly someone's attempt to fool people into parting with a little cash. If you want 'The Master with Cracked Fingers', go and seek out a better copy than this.
