The quick release clips are easy to use if your right handed since the female side of clip is in the front. Once you switch to your left shoulder, female part of clip is in the back making it extremely difficult to clip pieces together! If someone helps you, great but if alone you will struggle....alot! I now need to find someone that sews to undo clips and fabric attachments and swap sides. Aside from this issue, this pad is comfortable to wear and padding itself is perfect. I carry a 28 foot extension ladder and the ladder DOES NOT dig through padding and into my shoulder! Super comfortable.

The brand name version of this cost twice as much so I'm really happy.It works perfectly.
