IST M27 Tortuga Traditional Oval Single Lens Mask

First of all, I LOVE vintage style diving, and tempered glass, high volume oval masks are one of my favorite designs. This mask is as good as the originals. The skirt is flared to rest comfortably on the face with an inner lip for an excellent secondary seal. The black neoprene rubber is far better than the clear or black silicone ones that many companies are offering today IMO. I prefer the black skirt over the clear ones because i find the light coming through the clear skirts to be distracting. Maybe the dark surrounding opens up your pupils more and makes the view more enjoyable. I have seen some complain that this mask is too tight, but... the strap is adjustable, so... Many of my older oval masks have begun to decompose which is one of the traits of neoprene - it just goes with the territory. That said, while it's in good shape, Neoprene is far superior to silicone. It's fantastic to find a source for a new, well-made one!

I like this mask much better than my expensive scuba diving masks from the dive shop. Great field of vision and fits well on my small and narrow face. Seals very well, and with a little spit it doesn't fog up.

VERY cool product. Comfortable fit. Allows you to see underwater without the usual goggle boarders around your eyes. Will be buying again.

Tried similar, but in silicone, no rigidity. Sent it back, got this instead. Good simple mask, but better for kids & women.

I purchased both a clear silicone and a black rubber version of this mask. They are very similar to the style I used years ago. whenever I use one of the newer style masks, I wished I had my old one back. Now I do.Have not had a chance to use them yet (the lake is frozen over) but have tried it on. Both seem seem to be good quality, and I think they will fit and work well. Strap adjustment is easy, and overall quality looks good.Would recommend to anyone looking for the "old school" mask. I need another couple, and plan on buying two more of the black rubber type.

Glass was clear and the oval view was great but too uncomfortable for extended periods of time.

I had an allergic reaction to the rubber. I do have a latex allergy, never had a problem with past masks. If it weren't for the allergy I'd give this a 5+ rating. It's a great mask other wise
