Durable and fun
We've enjoyed a slack line on the property for more than 5 years now. We bought the first one at a hardware store local to us and it set up quickly, was safe and didn't have the added insurance cost of a trampoline. I recently purchased this one on Amazon because one of the neighbor kids had partially cut our older slack line with a pocket knife. It still had plenty of strength, but we didn't want to risk an accident. The safety line is a thoughtful feature. While it could inhibit those with an advanced skill set, we have found that more people are willing to get on and enjoy bouncing on it with the safety line setup.

My kids LOVE this!
Easy to set up. SO glad we went with a kit that has a teaching line.We first put it up between two trees that were close together. It didn't take long for my kids (10 & 12) to want more space to 'roam' on it so we put it between 2 trees, about 3 feet high, that almost used the length of it, almost 50 feet. Talk about a difference! It's very bouncy when it is stretched out like that. Be careful when 2 or more kids get on it - it is JUST like a trampoline so that when they jump/bounce in sync it can launch one of them WAY too high. We have a rule, no synchronized bouncing. I got the tree wrap, you could probably just use an old towel and be FINE.My 2 kids loved swinging on their swing and chatting. When some way too big kids got on it and busted it for good, they were sad not to have something to hang out on. This filled that void perfectly, plus adds a level of exercise and balance work. Now they also like to bring a boom box outside & listen to music while they practice. I also will get on and hang out on there and chat with the kids. It's fun & portable! And it is affordable, too. Def worth a try. You can always set it up on the lower side to start out.

Awesome Fun for Kids Ages 5-13; easy to set up; no need for tree protection
We have owned this for several months. My four kids and all the neighbor kids play on it every day. We often have 2-4 kids on it at once and it holds up well. Honestly, it was a little tricky figuring out the ratchet part (there's a Youtube video, too, but I found I needed a friend to actually show me), but once you get that down, it really does take only 15 minutes to set it up.We had so much fun with our first slackline that we actually bought a second. All the neighbor kids come over to play; typically ages 5-13 have no problem on the slackline. My husband and I go on it, too, and I'm sure my kids will go on it as they get older. I would say, though, that the teaching line is essential even for older kids.We did not need tree protection for the slacklines.

Fun for the family
Our family really enjoys this slackline. My kids, ages 14, 12, 10, 7, 5, all love to play on this slackline. It is easy to set up. My husband taught our older kids how to set it up and now my 10 year old son can set this up himself at the local slackline park. The teaching line makes it fun for all of their ages. My husband, and 14 and 12 year old girls like to practice without the teaching line. No one can resist trying it out once it is set up. Even grandma and grandpa wanted to try walking the line when they were visiting in town. We had a lot of laughs! The product arrived in a timely matter and the storage bag works great when it is time to pack it up.

Awesome fun!
Very easy to install, with a simple storage bag. Used this for my son's 5th bday party as a "space walk" feature and it was the hit of the party. We did a dry run the day before and my boys (5 and 6) literally walked up and down it for hours (sometimes alone, a lot of the time together).Couple things we learned: The trees we used were not 50' apart, and my sons began to play with the left over training slackline (the one that installs overhead) while walking across...not a good idea. We simply rolled up the leftover slackline with a twistie tie and attached it to the hanging line (between the tree and the hardware) to keep it out of the way. We also did it close to our patio and my son slipped off and scratched his leg a little bit, so we moved the table and chairs out of the way. Also follow the instructions for height attachment guidelines on the tree. When my boys jumped off, sometimes they would straddle the line, and well...it's sort of like a bicycle bar between the legs if the line is too high (if you know what I mean).

and for more advanced users it can be fun to play around with
The ratchet can become difficult to fully lock after tightening the line. My friend can get it to lock most of the time, but I struggle with it. The training line is very helpful for beginners, and for more advanced users it can be fun to play around with. However, I do not suggest sliding your hand along the training line. It is more rough than the slackline and has given me a couple of cuts similar to paper cuts. The carrying bag is not big enough to easily transport both lines. The line itself is comfortable to walk on. It is not the smoothest line I have walked on, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It makes it much harder for your foot to slip off. I have set it up many times at nearly the maximum length at about 2.5ft off of the ground without bottoming out issues (I am about 140lbs). The line will need to be re tightened every so often, but that is common with any line, especially when they are new and being stretched for the first few hours of use.

Flat River Group. This is a great toy. I live in Southern California where we don't have big back yards and I have to make trips to the park in order for my kids to play outside. I am also a youth fitness instructor. The kids LOVE this. I do not think that this is something that can only take 5 minutes to set up. And also, the amount of tension that truly needs to be applied actually needs a strong person to put it up. It's better if there are two. If you take it to a park where there are other children expect to be bombarded with "oh cool, I want to try!" Definitely, all the kids would rather stand on it together - they can hardly wait turns because they all want to get on it. This is where tension becomes an issue. If you can get your children to patiently stand one by one once it is set up - it's great. Just not as easy to set up as they claim although the more you use it the more you perfect the craft.
