The Mitutoyo 530 Series Vernier Caliper features two sets of jaws and depth bars that allow for 4-way measurements of outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), step and depth. The Vernier, dial, and Digital Calipers provide direct and accurate readings and feature a functional identical, calibrated scale with a fixed jaw, and a separate jaw with a moving pointer that slides along the scale. The vernier caliper has a scale that slides parallel to the main tube and allows additional decimal readings for improved measurement accuracy. The dial caliper is a round dial with a pointer on the tooth gear rack and replaces the second vernier scale. Just like verniers, add this second measurement to the reading from the main scale to get the results. Digital caliper is differential by zeroing the display at any point along the slide. The LCD displays a single value in English and/or metric increments.
