Lovely smell while burning
Incense is a very personal thing so I find it difficult to review and even harder to choose one based on reviews. The more objective parts: Burns evenly and completely with a low amount of clean, white smoke. Ash is light grey and it takes a long time to drop (positioned vertically it doesn't drop until you're about 2/3rds of the way down the stick). And onto the more subjective parts Both my partner and like Japanese incense, though we have slightly different tastes (he prefers sweeter scents, I lean towards fresher scents), and curiously we can find different ones overpowering. We both love the scent of this while it's burning, though for him it's quite strong and one he prefers it in a different room, while I find it one I can't get enough of and have no problem with it in the same room (this is unusual, as I'm usually the more sensitive of the two). I'm awful at describing scents, my best attempt is a slightly spicy earthy scent, with undertones of wet grass and a hint of warmth. I find it very fresh and there's a subtle sweetness if you look for it (but it's very light). I was going to give it 4* because I struggle with the unburnt scent - to the point I've had to put the box into a sealed plastic box because I find it strong enough to overpower a room on it's own and I don't particularly like it - very earthy and damp smelling, however this seems to be a difference in our tastes as he finds it barely noticeable and not particularly bothersome, so rather than mark the product down I'm going to chalk that up to a quirk of my own sense of smell (which may well be a bit attuned to damp smells based on some of my prior living conditions), especially as it's easy to work around with the plastic box and the important part of incense is burning it. Once it's burning I find the smell divine and deeply relaxing.

Beautiful relaxation or meditation aroma
These premium quality Kyoto Nagomikobo White Tea incense sticks are excellent. There are approximately 60 sticks that come boxed in a sealed bag, and as soon as I opened the bag I could smell the lovely incense smell. The white box slides open like a drawer to reveal the sticks of incense inside carefully covered with tissue paper. These look like they are made from actual incense rather than a coating on sticks and I've never seen incense like these before. I have bought an incense burner and can also use a bowl with a small stick holder to burn them. Burn time lasts about 20 to 25 minutes. They smell lovely and I'm happy to recommend them. I think the price of £11.99 is a good price for these premium quality incense sticks and I will buy them in future.

Interesting aroma
I'm a big fan of incense sticks so was really interested in reviewing these especially as I do love Japanese aesthetics. The pack is very simple but classy in design and the green tea sticks are the colour of matcha. I was initially unsure of the smell that the sticks give off when unlit. They are quite pervasive in their aroma and I wasn't sure that I liked them. Anyway, I decided to light them and see how they smelt whilst burning. I think the smokiness actually adds something to the aroma and takes away the smell that I wasn't sure about. It is pleasant and if you like green tea then I think you'll like these. Small note on the design of them - when attaching to my incense stick holder, the bottom snapped so you need to be gentle when pushing into the little hole. Also, unlike the majority of Indian incense sticks that I've used that burn to the end of the incense and then stop before the stick burns out, the stick burns right down to the end and so can get trapped inside your incense stick holder. I have had other Japanese sticks which do the same so I think this is just the way that they are made (I may need to look at getting a different type of holder). I would say the quality seems to be excellent and the burn time for each stick is approximately 30 minutes (part of the stick broke and I pinched it out before it got to the end so it may have 40 minutes in total). Price wise they seem to be comparative to other quality Japanese incense sticks and not as pricey as some.

Smells gorgeous
I love incense sticks. The smoke they produce as they burn is mesmerising, and they keep a room smelling nice long after the burning is finished. These Kyoto White Tea Incense Sticks deliver a calm, smooth, sweet and pleasant floral scent that is not overpowering, yet still has presence. You can smell them even through the box and plastic packaging - it’s a good thing that they smell so pleasant! There are about 60 sticks inside this simple white cardboard box, and each stick is about 13.7 cm long. Unlike other incense sticks, the Kyoto white tea incense sticks don't come with wooden sticks - it’s just incense all the way down, no exposed wood. For this reason, I would advise caution when using these, as they might be more likely to fall than usual incense sticks. The burning time of each stick is about 25 mins, but the long lasting scent will keep the room smelling warm and sweet for hours. There isn't an incense holder included, but this is probably intended for repeat purchase by a customer who already owns one.

Beautiful earthy, fragrant scent. There’s no perfume so it’s not overpowering at all and no charcoal smell either. A pure burn and a clean scent.

So strong the box smells like sandalwood, very good scent burns well, easy clean up. Sticks are smaller than all my others, but there's a lot more of them and that's what is important to me

These had a very nice scent. Not overpowering or gross.

Very thin. Smell nice. Burn slowly, but they are thinner than other sticks.

Initially, when I smelled the box, it had a sour odor. I was skeptical that i would like it. However the scent while burning was quite pleasant. Since the information said it was handcrafted in Japan, I would think that this is good quality. I gifted a box and kept one for myself. I’d buy again.
