Works as advertized, can upgrade HDD to SSD
I bought the 4-camera system about 1 year ago. I was replacing a more expensive Lorex system I already had, but this one is better. The image was more clear and sharp. Playback was smoother too and it has AI to recognize a human body or face. I replaced the HDD with a 2TB SSD and it holds about 90 days of video from all 4 cameras in high resolution. It is clear and sharp enough to read license plates on cars in my driveway. It is a very easy system to set up, the wireless works great with my home WiFi system, reliable and works perfectly.

Great Camera System. You must take the time to fit it to your particular home or location
This is a long review but worth the read if planning on purchasing an OOSSXX WIFI based camera system. The initial setup and function test of the camera system took maybe 15 to 20 mins at the most and everything worked great right out of the box. Before purchase I read all the reviews and came to one strong conclusion that the system is good quality but the people installing it did not quite understand how WIFI works. It seems many just don’t understand how critical it is to place the NVR in the optimum place that fits your particular home. It literally took me almost a week to play around and find the proper place. This NVR system is 1080P so yeah it needs a good signal connection to the camera to maintain the data rates for that high-quality image. What I have found is that if you don’t have a minimum of 3 of the 4 signal bars then your connection will not be good enough to prevent the camera to drop off on and off briefly during the day. First step is to place, tie wrap or tape the cameras in the place you would like them to be after doing the initial system setup and test to make sure they are working properly. Make sure to connect them with a bunch of long extension cords so you can move them as necessary for better signal later. Once your cameras are all placed the system is powered up you need to find the best location for your NVR. A couple of hints to finding the proper location. In the software go to System Setup -> Network Setup -> WIFI Setup. Here is where it will make or break your happiness with the system. If you look off to the right side you will see the signal for all your installed cameras. If it is not above 35 on any camera that camera will have issues. It will function and record between 30 and 35 but you will see brief 1 to 2 second drop-offs that are worse at night when night vision is on. So here is how to find the best location for the NVR. I have a WIFI extender for my house WIFI that I plugged the NVR ethernet cable into as I bounced around the house outlet to outlet with a spare monitor and power strip to look for the best spot. As you go spot to spot in your house click on the Adaptive channel button on the bottom of the WIFI page refresh the cameras to check signal and click Apply once you discover the best channel for that location. You would be amazed just by changing the channel it increased the number by +5 or so in the exact same location. Actually, for the final location and the channel with the highest strength in my home one of my cameras would not connect at all. I went to the camera and changed the antenna position just a bit and just like that it came back to life with good signal. In your case you may have one or two cameras that are low while the others are high. Try moving the camera location a bit or try the repeater setup to connect them to a camera with a stronger signal and see if it helps. If still no good contact tech support and/or purchase an oossxx repeater to boost them up a bit and check out YouTube videos that can help you get it setup. For my particular case I did not need a separate repeater but used the built-in repeater function in the system and it worked perfect. I also did not need the NVR constantly attach to a TV or monitor so the NVR ended up on a table in a room. I use the app and remote access for my needs and when I need access to the system, I drag over the spare monitor make my changes and then put it away again. I am very happy with the system and the image quality both day and night. Scrolling through the playback of images is simple. I originally purchased a 4-camera setup and have ordered two additional cameras to complete my needs. Once they are all up and running I will setup the alerts. With all this said there are a few areas OOSSXX could improve on. The mouse cable is ridiculously short and the include 10ft antenna did nothing to improve signal as I was setting up my system. It actually made it worse. These little things are not enough to discourage your purchase but wish list things for improvements for the next revisions. Like any piece of tech equipment, it is easy to blame the equipment. If I had left the NVR in the first place, I put it I would not have been happy at all but with a little patience and setup on my part to match the particular setup of my home I became very pleased and would definitely recommend purchase.

Pretty Good System - Wish there were more...
UPDATE - MAY HELP - So I was having troubles with camera's just randomly dropping off when I would add a new one. I also could not get the audio to work on any camera. So a couple quick hints for what they are worth, but don't really change any of the below comments:(1) If a camera drops, just go to the Video Manage portion of the system controls, DELETE IT, and them SEARCH and add it back in. Comes right back online. I spent about 8 hours trying to fix this and even contacted Amazon who didn't know what to do. So this will solve the issue most likely(2) Audio - I had this plugged into a TV (nice NEW HD one at that) and I couldn't seem to get audio on any camera. I had read on the EseeCloud (IP Pro) website (note - vendor is next to impossible to contact for support, so don't bother) on how to get the audio to work. Well, as it turns out, this system was delivered preconfigured, so when I added the camera noted above back, I can now see the AUDIO and other options, on each Camera's screen. So if you happen to not see those options, follow item #1 above(3) Side note - So I have installed these outside of my house, all the way down to the lake that I live on. Decent strength to get down there, but I DID have to buy a repeater for this, which solved the problem, but I finally decided to just run a CAT 7 cable down to it and trench it. Here is the watch out - the electrical plug attachment is BIG, and it sits at a 90 degree angle against a 3 wire outlet. So my aluminum outlet covers, which were installed to protect them from being wide open and accessible to be unplugged, were not wide enough to fit this power adapter in. I had to buy new ones on Amazon that were VERTICAL to the outlet, so that they would fit. NET NET - if you're going to install outdoor and you want a cover and locking mechanism to ensure no one unplugs it, you'll either need a SUPER wide cover, or you'll need different power adapters. So in short, this appears to be a solid system from the short time I have had it up. Now, I did add multipliers outside of just having each of these piggy back off each other, but so far, so good with solid signals and realtime streaming. Couple of pros and cons below...Pros:(1) It is a plug and play to a large degree. That is not to say you just plug them in and go, but it's about an hour or two to just get them up and running(2) Camera's external housings are very solid. Very solid and so far, water proof as far as I can tell - no plastic housing here(3) The camera's can be set up as repeaters themselves, so to extend the network to reach them(4) You can choose how the recording will work - all the time, during scheduled time, or on motion. Up to you on what you want(5) It's a point and click system. No keyboard or anything, so in a way, it makes it really easy(6) They can be POE, wireless and/or just wired.Cons:(1) I wish there was a keyboard or keyboard option. It's frustrating to have to point and click all the characters of passwords and all(2) Wish I could create a backup ADMIN account - only the delivered admin account has full privleges(3) Passwords can only be up to 12 characters. Really?? In today's day and age, I usually use 18 to 36 characters for my passwords. Why would we limit this?(4) Can't change the network ESSID. Why would we limit this? If I can trying to spoof a network, I know exactly which wireless one to go after. Just seems stupid to me and a security risk(5) Can't change the WIFI password. I won't go into much here, but why would we limit this as well? Ridiculous(6) NVR housing and all is really cheap. I'm not suggesting that we need to go to an overwhelming level of quantity, but the housing is cheap, there's not much to it, and mine came with a lose screw rolling around inside. I wish at least the housing was more durable(7) NVR power cord is ridiculously short. Now why in the world would we not spend a couple more pennies to have this be something reasonable, like 6ft or so.(8) Appears like there is only one USB port. Why not have a couple, like for a keyboard, an external hard drive. What am I supposed to do with one? Buy an extender is what is neededOverall, although I have more cons up there, it really is a solid system up to this point. I have only had the cameras and all running for about a week though, so we will see how this stands up to a bit more time, and the upcoming colder and worse weather

The Best Security Camera on Amazon + Responsive Customer Support
I rarely write reviews but I know I had to. I was in need of a high quality security camera system and was researching for the best money to quality ratio and came across this OOSSXX brand. The setup was very easy to install by yourself. The box also came with a straightforward guide for extra features if you want to activate such as the audio function, AI human/face recognition. I came across an issue and I quickly emailed the OOSSXX support team and they replied in less than a day due to time zone difference. I have to give them credit for being very responsive and willing to solve your issues. OOSSXX has by far the best support experience out of the other brands you see on Amazon. I would say give them a try!
