I purchased 6 of these feeders (all at one time) in November 2024. I was looking for something that would keep them from flipping the food everywhere. The grate design is very poor because the sections are entirely too large to prevent that. I had to modify them and ending up buying grates and cutting them from another company. I still to this day have yet to find the "sweet spot" adjustment that will prevent the lid from getting flipped up on top and getting stuck when the treadle gets hit with force and it still closing smoothly as it should. Some of the lids have gotten bent trying to get them unstuck. After just a couple months of use the finish is not holding up and they look like they are years instead of months old and I clean my coops every day so it's not like they stay spiled for long periods of time. I did end up getting a large portion refund is the only reason I kept them. The pictures show the original modification and then1 the grates purchased elsewhere and cutting to fit. I did message several times about fixing the flaws and it seems they have not done so. I do like the magnetic attached lid.
