Q: HELP!! I've read the reviews, and value all opinions, but I'm stuck: do y'all say buy or pass for my waist-length, thick and curly hair? Thanks!

I would give it a try. I have just past waist length straight hair, about 9-9.5 cm ponytail circumference, and they work very well in my slippery hair. They are very comfortable, too. They can and do break sometimes so they don't have an unlimited lifespan, but they work very well.

Q: Do these pins work for fine hair?

I have very fine hair but a lot of it as my hairdresser says. These pins work wonders for me after I learned to roll my hair and stick the pins in properly. I use the them hold back my bangs (very thin hair there) and to put my hair into a french twist. They are pretty pricey is my only complaint.
