This dress is cute, stretchy, and has pockets! A couple of things I'd change though: The skirt is cut in four pieces, which means it has a seam on each side, down the middle of the back, plus one down the front. The seam in the front kind of detracts from the overall cuteness of the dress. Also, the fabric along the neckline and cuffs is different from the rest of the dress, and seems like it might get really messed up unless it is dry-cleaned.Side note: I have a few GownTown dresses. Be sure to watch the sizing chart listed with the specific dress because I can easily wear a Small in this size, but wear a Medium in some of the other styles. I bought a small based on size chart and it fit perfectly. I am 5'6", 127lbs, not very curvy, and usually wear a 4.

I normally dont write reviews but this amazing company deserves one. These dresses are by far the cutest things you will ever wear. The fabric is thick while still feeling light, the quality is amazing and the material - stretchy. I dont have to undo the zipper to put it on (which is the way I like it). If you're on the fence about getting this, GET OFF.Thank you gowntown, I will be buying loads more !!by the way, this is my third dress.

I like this dress but wish it was a bit longer. I wash it in a washer that does not have an agitator, and it washes well. I hang it dry, and wish it got the wrinkles out better. I am tempted to use the dryer, and eventually may try drying it most of the way and then hanging it, especially after reading what others say. Regarless of wrinkles, it looks really nice, and a short bolero sweater that goes down to the wrist makes it warmer in a cool office without taking away from the “Look.” If you like the full skirted look, wear it with a petticoat and sweater and look nice, and feel comfortable.

Love it. This is my 9th Gown Town dress and one of the best. I am 5”6, UK size 12 (US size 8). I am busty. I would wear a medium but my chest often requires XLarge. In some GT styles I buy XLarge and take in the waist and arms. In this style, Large was perfect. ALL GT Dresses run a little short on me. The waist hits a bit too high for authentic 50s look. Best for women 5”2. Very good quality for price!

I haven’t wore it but it looks beautiful on. I have an event next month will wear it. I wish they make a burnt orange. I’m searching for a dress color burnt orange.

I would absolutely love this dress if the waistline were about an inch and a half lower. As it is, it fits ok - but is definitely a little too high-waisted. That seems to be a common problem with all of these 1950's-inspired dresses. The quality of the fabric is better than expected. Ordered in two sizes because I go back and forth between sizes, depending on the cut of the dress - sent back the smaller one.

Be aware that you can’t just chuck this into the washer. It’s basically ruined after I washed it.
