TLDR; Exceptional brightness and ultimate convenience in a minuscule package. The 180-lumen output and USB-C charging make it the best ultra-compact light for a keyring or pocket. I purchased the Olight I1R 2 Pro Eos because I was tired of fumbling for my keys or looking for things under the couch with my phone's weak, flood-style light. I wanted a true, dedicated light source that was so small and light I would forget it was on my keychain until I needed it. The move to USB-C charging on this "Pro" version was the final push, as it matches all my other modern EDC gear. The performance of the I1R 2 Pro is astonishing given its size. Pumping out 180 lumens on High mode, this tiny torch throws a surprisingly focused beam (up to 48 meters) that absolutely obliterates a smartphone's flash for finding a dropped item or navigating a dark pathway. The default Low mode of 5 lumens, which activates first with a gentle twist of the head, is perfectly calibrated for close-up tasks like finding a keyhole or reading a map in the dark without destroying your night vision. Switching between the two modes is simple: a slight twist for Low, and a full twist for High. The head is "captive," meaning it unscrews to reveal the USB-C port for charging but does not detach, eliminating the risk of losing the head—a massive improvement over previous designs. Charging is fast—about 100 minutes—and the upgrade to the modern USB-C standard is a massive win for compatibility and convenience. The integrated 130mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of use on Low, which is more than enough for intermittent keychain use. Its durability is also noteworthy, with an IPX8 waterproof rating and robust aluminum construction that shrugs off being constantly jingled with keys. Pros and Cons Pros 180-lumen maximum output is exceptionally bright for a keychain light. Modern and convenient USB-C charging port. Extremely compact and lightweight (only 22g / 0.78oz). Simple and intuitive twist operation with two useful modes. IPX8 waterproof rating provides high durability. Cons High mode runtime is brief (23 minutes before stepping down) due to the tiny battery. The "Cool White" LED tint could have better color rendition (CRI). Built-in battery is not user-replaceable. Verdict The Olight I1R 2 Pro Eos is, without question, the best keychain flashlight available at its price point. It successfully bridges the gap between ultra-portability and true utility. It is best for the everyday carrier who wants a genuine, high-power light source always available, not just a novelty. If your primary need is quick, powerful illumination for brief moments throughout the day, the I1R 2 Pro's high output and easy USB-C recharge make it an essential and highly recommended addition to any EDC setup.

I’m a flashlight dude and have several decent lights (mostly Streamlight and Surefire) but I never had one this small, really. I love the low setting and high is very bright. The biggest selling point for me was the usb c charging as I’m on that never ending mission to live a “one charger/one cable” lifestyle. I bought about 10 of these for Christmas gifts and everyone claims they love them. (Unanimous love for the usb c charging.)

The Olight i1R 2 Pro Eos is extremely lightweight, extremely bright flashlight on my keychain, which allows me flexibility when out and about. Especially in winter, it gets dark very early where we live. This flashlight allows me to see amazing detail of anything that might give me problems--how many of you have ever come face to face with a skunk on your sidewalk at night? It is very handy to use to open the lock to the door on those dark nights. I love that I don't have to worry about buying batteries to replace spent ones. This recharges very quickly and lasts a long time. The array of colors allows me to color code for family members and to pick a color I can find in my purse! That saves a LOT of digging! The flashlight is well designed--easy to turn on to a dim light, then a little further twist brings the fully bright 180 lumens to bear on whatever you want to light up. The charging port is right in the short handle with a twistable cover to keep it clean when not needed. I think everyone should have an OLIGHT keychain flashlight. Get them when Prime Days deals are on. These are very worth every penny! Love this Little Light of Mine!

Great little flashlight! Perfect 2 stage brightness for the simple activities that this flashlight was designed for. I have several Olight flashlights all are great quality and durability. Their products can cost a little more, but they are very worth the price. Olight will last and perform without issues time after time. Very pleased with this latest purchase, I'll be purchasing more of this style to keep in my IFAK and my vehicle center console.

This a good flashlight, with one reservation. Pros: - quite small size - lightweight - two brightness levels adds versatility (e.g. both "don't wake the spouse in the hotel room" and "find the tire jack in the trunk") - easy to use - rechargeable, so I don't have to pack extra batteries when I travel - well made - the silver color makes it easier to find in the dark. Black flashlights may make sense if you're sneaking around in the dark playing tactical games, but for more conventional purposes let's make them easy to find. Cons: - It twists to turn on and off (a plus for me), but the off position is the unscrewed position (bad). Most twist flashlights have the screwed-down position as off, which I think makes them more secure, more able to handle being bounced around in luggage, more waterproof, and less likely to come on by accident. Accidental turn-ons are especially concerning since the safety pamphlet cautions against allowing it to be on while against fabric, as apparently it can get hot after a while. Mixed: - requires two hands to turn on, as a twist-style flashlights do. This makes it a little harder to operate if your hands are full, but also reduces the chance of it coming on by accident in a bag, pocket, or suitcase. Summary: It's a good flashlight. If they changed the twist-mechanism so that the "screwed down tight" position meant off instead of on, I'd give it 5 stars.
