Was Pleasantly Surprised By This Controller
First to keep from getting frustrated, this acts as a WIRED controller because it is adapted through the Nintendo Switch USB-C port on the bottom. If you do not have the wired controllers enabled in the Switch, you will NOT be able to use this. My regular Switch had this turned on from an older controller, the new OLED one had never had a wired controller connected so I had to turn it on.As usual, positives, neutrals, negatives - FOR REFERENCE PURPLE COLOR SCHEME IS NORMAL SWITCH, RGB IS OLED SWITCHPOSITIVES - like a pirate says - it has ARRRRRRRR GEEEEEE BEEEEEE - colors are vibrant, triggers and face buttons are good and solid - though I would have liked a little more color differentiation over the newer controller specific buttons (maybe make them grey on the next run), weight/heft and feel is nice - definitely makes the Switch feel better in my monster bear handsNEUTRALS - the grips are grippy but just not grippy enough - I would have liked more texture on the grips because the size is great and the controller works great but I felt when I started getting sweaty hands - it was slippery more so than the regular Joy-Cons - especially mine with the special skins for grip on, the thumbsticks are just ok - they are not great and definitely not Hall-effectNEGATIVES - MAJOR NEGATIVE FOR ME AND FOR TOTK/BOTW - NO NFC - BE AWARE OF THIS THERE IS NO NFC ON THIS CONTROLLER, d-pad is just bad - no other way to say it, uses the Switch's onboard battery when not plugged in and I will say it drained the Switch about 1/3rd faster than the regular JoyCons - I charged it and let it run dry with both the JoyCons and this set - confirmed the 1/3rd faster drainage - good news is you can plug it in if you need to and if you have a battery pack - attaching it to the back of this larger controller is MUCH more comfortable than the regular Switch, it is a VERY VERY snug fit with the OLED Switch - I know they say they are the 'exact' same size but found this was just a little snugger - and that had me a little concerned for the pressure - it didn't hurt anything but still worried me - I'll use this on my older Switch insteadOverall great controller and wonderful pickup for my collection, I'll post a pic of the whole collection at a later time

Holy Cow!
I hate the joycons. They are too small. This though? This is comfortable, the controls are good. The D-Pad could be a bit better, but it is way better than the Joycon d-...buttons. The RGB isn't distracting. It isn't too heavy. My late model LCD Switch (The Mario Red model) slides in perfectly fine, and the usb snuggly fits in. Worth it.

Drains battery fast, but feels great for large hands.
Use it all the time, no stick drift so far with me playing it for around 2 hours a day.Only problem is it will drain the switch battery fast if you leave it plugged into the console.

Great feel
I owned the binbok modular switch joycons, But accidentally broke one of them while they were attached to the switch. So I ordered this as a replacement, and it's awesome. The switch fits really snugly, in a good way, in the cradle. It took a little finagling to get the USBC port to line up, but nothing that was an issue. There is no dead zone on the joysticks. The d-pad and the shoulder buttons are like toggles, but I like it. They don't have much travel, they click on and off- which I like. This is a little bit different than the modular joy cons that this binbok brand has- The D-Pad was mushier on the joy cons. Love the customability of the turbo, lighting, vibration level, and even macros/button combos. It has a great heft, and I feel confident in it because the joycons before I broke them were great.

Great addition to my oled
Feels great to hold, sturdy. Has really good grips. Has two back buttons. I was pleasantly surprised. Started playing Zelda tear of the kingdom and it plays better than the joy ins. It can also work as a stand. It connect easily if you turn on the display and then press the light buttons and it pairs easily. You don’t have to keep it wired for it to work. It connects through the usb c connection at the button and it also has a pass through connection to charge while playing which was a nice addition to not have to remove it to charge the switch. It fits really snug on my oled. It’s honestly better than the competition. The rbg lights are an awesome option

Don’t waste your time.
I was very excited for this but it will be going back. The controller size is great but it struggles to connect every single time and often won’t connect. To the point that it’s basically unusable. I gave it two days and it’s so bad it has to be returned.

Good value so far
I've only had for a day so can't comment on longevity. I see other 1 star reviews on things like not being able to connect it. Well those users aren't the brightest because they are trying to connect it wirelessly as a wired controller. Need to go to settings to enable usb controllers. I had no issues with mine connecting. The rgb is basic yet sleek imo. I previously purchased one with the lightning rgb and honestly it's just tacky. It's comfortable and seems rigid enough. However yes just like all of these the plastic is ok. Durable enough. But I do wish nintendo made a first party premium version. Or someone like razer. Looks wise I think this is one of the better ones although u will see numerous ones on here from different vendors that are identical down to the packaging.
