Smooth medium roast
This is by far my favorite coffee. It’s smooth. It smells amazing. It tastes like a high end coffee house blend. I can’t say enough about how good this coffee is. I wish I could buy it in grocery stores. I’m scared it may disappear from Amazon some day.

Smooth and Rich
I learned about Rwandan coffee on the Apple TV show Omnivore. It smells rich and inviting. It is a fine grind. I made it in my Keurig. The taste is very smooth, fragrant, complex, a little chocolatey, and without any strong acidic bitterness. I like that it is fair trade from Rwanda. I will definitely buy this again.

Shop around.
Lame. Can't compare to the old Gevalia.

Not what I was hoping for
I threw it away after trying one pot, but given that taste buds vary from person to person, to be fair, I'm going to still give it 2 stars. Unfortunately, Gevalia quit selling my favorite coffee of all time, their Special Reserve Papua New Guinea ground coffee. I had hoped this brand would fill the void, but it did not at all taste (or smell) anything like what I was used to. It really didn't have much taste at all, where Gevalia's Papua New Guinea coffee had a sublime taste (and smell).

Use the same amount as your usual coffee when starting out.
It had a very mellow taste. There isn't a negative thing about it as it all has to do with your desired taste.

Way over roasted, no nuance
I drink Yirgacheffe a lot. I try to shop around to find the best one, even though I always go back to Carriage House Roasters. This claims to be a medium roast, it was really a dark roast. How dark you ask? Dark like Starbucks. If you like Starbucks you will love this. Load er up with a bunch of sugar and half-n-half and it's drinkable. I like my coffee black. Yirgaccheffe is supposed to be a light roast with cherry, blueberry, and citrus notes. This had no flavor profile. If I had to descrbe one it would be burnt asphalt on a hot summer day. I should have read the fine print to see that this was ground. No real coffee drinker buys ground coffee. Anyway live and learn right?
