The AdvancedFrame Sport is a light-weight version of our popular AdvancedFrame kayak. Although nearly identical in shape and form to the original AdvancedFrame, it sports a large cockpit opening for easy entry and exit. Incorporating our proven aluminum rib-frame technology in the bow and stern provides increased paddling performance in this sporty design. With performance similar to a hard-shell kayak and the packability of an inflatable, you are only a few pumps away from your next adventure!

All round best inflatable kayak
All round my best choice for inflatable kayak. Just bought my second for my wife, she is giving up her rigid yak. I have had my original for 11 years nothing but fun! From lazy streams / lakes to class 3 water in Montana Blackfoot River / Washington Hoh River. Lakes in Michigan, Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Packs up for easy travel, fits in car trunk or roof top luggage rack.Tip for first time users, be sure to inflate properly, should be fairly hard and not bend when standing up against a wall. Also when correctly inflated it can be carried like normal yak rigid on roof top!Be mind full cold water will cause under inflation, direct sun hot day can cause over inflation.Carry your pump, I recommend dual action hand pump, over the foot pump.Foot pump will be very hard to get to proper inflation.

A good kayak but don't buy it from Amazon
I bought one from Amazon and liked it so much I got a second one, with the drop-stitch floor, from Air Kayaks. They included the pump, had free shipping during the summer, and didn't charge tax.And the side seams are nice and straight, unlike the wrinkled one from Amazon which is a little embarrassing. Both kayaks go equally well on the lake. They're fast and track straight.

it has been so good to me
I have two of these kayaks, one of them is at least 6 years old, it has been so good to me, I recently purchased the second. I have had this kayak through some pretty rough conditions, mud rivers and in both the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean, taken on waves, pushed the 235 lb weight limit and almost every other condition. It is a durable and trusty kayak recommended for many conditions. If you need the flexibility and portability of the inflatable, you should definitely consider this one, it will not disappoint

Defective and customer service refused to help
I received a defective kayak, there is an obvious dent on the bed, which makes the material thinner and is likely to grow into a hole. Contacted CS and they refused to do refund, replacement, or anything. They ask me to contact the manufacturer and closed the chat window. What a terrible experience, my $400 is wasted!!!!!

Great for 5'6" and under
This is a great option if you want a recreational kayak you can keep in the trunk of your car. It's a cinch to inflate (took less than 10 minutes with a hand pump the first try), comfortable to paddle around lakes, bays, and anywhere you don't need a closed deck. It tracks surprisingly well for a rudderless kayak. *One caveat*: I'm 5'4" and it's a perfect fit for me with an inch or two to spare. Don't recommend purchasing if you're over 5'6" unless you want to kayak with your knees bent up the whole time. Overall, though, well made and fun to paddle.

Awesome
Easy to carry, fast set up, like 10 minutes max and I'm ready to go. That kayak is comfortable, stable and faster than a small hard one I used previously. The only thing that could be improved is the pump, it is flimsy but still doing the job. I guess the valve is specific to the kayak so I'm still looking for a good substitute. I'm a 56 years old woman 5'7 and fit inside with no problem, there is some room left behind the seat to store a dry bag. I use it on the Florida intracoastal and boats wakes are not a problem. Would buy again.

Easy to transport
I bought this because I have a small car and it is difficult to transport my hardshell kayaks. I can fit two of these in the trunk of my Subaru WRX along with paddles and life vests. It has to be done carefully, but it all fits. I own hardshell kayaks so I can compare this inflatable directly to a Point 65 tequila and a Wilderness Systems Tarpon. With the backbone accessory, the inflatable handles just as well as the hard shells on calm water. I mainly kayak in lakes and bayous in the FL panhandle. The hard shells are easier to clean but more difficult to transport. The inflatable is messy to take home and clean. Sand and mud like to stick to it as it gets folded to go back in the trunk. Set up and take down takes about 10-15 min. A two way pump is extremely helpful. All air must be out to fold the boat properly. You must leave the boat inflated for a couple of days when you get home, so it can dry out. A wet/dry vac is helpful for cleaning the inside of the boat. The home cleanup routine takes about 30 minutes including the dry out inflating.

Easy and Comfortable.
We have had these two Advanced Frame Elements Kayaks on the water four times. In Colorado we have quite few reservoirs in the mountains. They track well and are comfortable for the lake paddling. We are an older couple and enjoy the leisurely paddling. They inflate in about 5 minutes with the Advanced Elements hand pump. We dry them out for a while and then return to the carry bag without any issues. Since we have little storage space in out garage we opted for the inflatables. Very happy and would recommend to a friend.

Ideal kayak
A great kayak. I have bought this to enable me to get out on the water without having to roof-top a hard touring kayak. The performance is good - it tracks well, is easy to manoeuvre and copes well with chop. Given the large open cockpit I personally wouldn't take this out in rough water because I think it would be easily swamped, but for trips of a more sedate nature this is ideal. It only takes minutes to inflate and is light enough for me to carry it single-handed, which means solo trips are now feasible. My first outing on the River Dart in Devon was a real delight.

love this kayak
love this kayak, better than i could have dreamed. opened up so many opportunities, it handles well (obviously not as good as hard kayak, but not far off). I had to raise my seating position to get a better paddling action but apart from that I'm very very happy with it. inflates very quick and easy (much easier than a paddle board)

An amazing kayak
I bought my Advanced Elements Sport in 2014 and have been using it ever since without any problems. It's an amazing kayak. It's been paddled by me, our children, our grandchildren and friends. Everyone loves it without exception. It's easy to inflate and deflate, and is safe, stable and tracks well on lakes, rivers and the sea (off the beach only for me). More than that, it looks good as well. People have offered to buy it, but I'm not selling. One tip (if you prefer to keep fairly dry, like me) - put a towel across the seat, because any water in the kayak (from wet feet when getting in, usually) will collect at this lowest point. Worth every penny.

then it carried me plus all camping gear quite happily. Excellent stability
Okay it won't win a race, but it's a propper little workhorse! I took it on the Danube on a small tour and carried it there in a big rucksack (105L), heavy load to carry but doable for the athletically minded, then it carried me plus all camping gear quite happily. Excellent stability, even with the motorboats. Highly recommend to beginners, like myself :D
