My son has a discrepancy in his leg lengths. His doctor recommended a heel lift to help with the pain it puts on his hip and knees. He is a teenager so he's very choosy about what he will actually use. We went through several different inserts until we came across these. These are GREAT! I have one leg ½" shorter than the other and have tried multiple accessories / adjustments for balancing out the difference, including having the cobbler add an extra heel thickness ($$). These inserts are supportive and tapered so thin that they don't take up much room in the footwear. This is very important with boots or shoes that don't have laces. It's also important if more than one type of support accessory is needed. I use the height support and an arch support insole to take up space because I wear an 'A' width, which is uncommon.
