Owned it for 5 months now and thrilled with it
I've had this blender for five months. It gets used on the daily, usually to create green juices full of fibrous leaf vegetables. It performs as well today as it did the first day I got it. Everything gets pulverized, no chunks. This is also true when I make protein shakes with added pecans - this blender has no problem blending everything to a creamy consistency. The one exception to this is when I add hazelnuts - a very hard nut - into the shake, in which case there may be a slightly larger chunk or two in the finished blend. The blender also works well for blending warm/hot ingredients and creating puree. It seals tight and has never spewed hot liquid out of the top, which is an experience I've had with other blender brands and truly never want to repeat. This brings us to the much-reviewed lid and its removal... or the difficulty thereof. Yes. It has a quite forceful seal and I do have to wrestle with it on occasion. This is a negative that I'm am happy to deal with given I've experienced the mess not-so-well-sealed blenders can cause. If you have the full use of your hands/wrists and have an average amount of strength (I'm female, 55 years old) and a basic understanding of leverage, you'll probably be able to figure out a way to work with the lid. If you have some kind of issue with your hands/wrists (e.g. carpal tunnel, arthritis), I would not recommend this blender for you. Finally: the self clean feature is the absolute bomb! Love, love, love that feature. I use it after every blend and am blown away at how well it works. That feature along with the timed shut-off (so the motor doesn't overheat), along with its stellar performance makes this blender an excellent choice for the money.

The best easy clean and smoothe smoothie blender I ever met.
Who designed this beauty? Their name should be known!Cleaning: Our favorite feature because it is a game changer. We never hesitate to use this to make a smoothie—no more complicated cleaning or separate parts to align. The blades are permanently embedded in the blender jar, no seals or blades to handle, and no twisting. I lightly rinse the ONE piece jar, add a squirt of dish soap and a bit of water, glide the ONE piece jar into the base, turn on the cleaning cycle, then rinse. No nicked fingers or fiddling with aligning parts!Function: super smooth smoothies. The jar glides into the base smoothly, and leakage Can Not occur with this blender. Unless you break it, I guess. The countdown screen is great. The lid has a removable cap for adding ingredients or liquid during blending, and it snaps, to let you know it’s seated back into the lid.Even the plug is well designed, what a fun surprise.Negatives: The lid seal is a bit bulky, so I need to push down on it before blending to get a good fit. I think the only time I’d remove this is if I overfill the jar capacity.Price: I have no regrets for paying 150+ for this one, hopefully, final blender that I use every day!Its pretty, so it’s the one appliance I do t mind keeping out.Note: It took a few test drives to realize the timer screen came with a peel off film, and we couldn’t see the countdown. It comes off easily, then you can read the counter.

Whole family loves this thing!
Wanted a Vitamix but simply could not justify spending that much money and this got rave reviews so I got one and I’m so glad I did. Everybody loves it. Sure, I wish the jug could match Rainbow Plant Life Nisha Vora’s Vitamix 5300 capacity but 50 fl oz/1.5 liters is more than our old classic Osterizer blender (which has a very heavy glass jug that holds 1.25 liters, the attachment part was falling to bits, it needed disassembled to clean well and was very top heavy once removed from the base). THIS Breville blender’s jug is strong plastic so it’s way lighter and easier to lift/move, plus the square bottom is way more stable when set on a counter surface. The preprogrammed settings are great features. Makes an excellent smoothie and the self cleaning mode is so so nice for easy clean up.

This is am amazing blender! The conical shape of the blender and quality of blades makes short work of everything I have thrown at it thus far! Amazing smoothies, and a pulse that actually pulses! Highly recommend!!
