The High Def XSound 4 Helmet Speakers absolutely deserve 5 stars. The build quality is outstanding — solid, durable, and clearly made to last. But what really blew me away is the sound quality. Compared to the upgraded JBL speakers I had for my Cardo, the difference is like night and day. Whether it’s music or phone calls, everything comes through crystal clear, even at highway speeds. I haven’t had a single situation so far where I couldn’t hear clearly, which is a game-changer for longer rides. If you’re serious about audio on the road, I highly, highly recommend these. Worth every penny.

These speakers are excellent if you demand high quality sound and fidelity within your motorcycle helmet. I started with the SENA 50S, then the CARDO Packtalk PRO, and I even purchased the SIPHON SOUNDPRO system. Over $1100 total and never being satisfied with the sound quality when listening to my music (I ride alone and listen to music - communications is secondary to me). You cannot get "premium" sound from any SENA, CARDO or SIPHON system despite what the sexy advertisements claim. The reason is because you need two things: speakers that are made of quality components (think of car speakers - rubber/metal vs paper/plastic) and more importantly a high output bluetooth DAC/AMP. I'm able to achieve audiophile quality sound with these IASUS Xsound4 speakers and a Qudelix 5K bluetooth DAC/AMP (https://a.co/d/0lflxWo) The Qudelix 5K is smaller than the CARDO/SENA/SIPHON units. These speakers (as well as the Cardo/JBL 45MM) require a high output amp if you want to be able to increase the volume (wearing earbuds) and get clean undistorted bass and music. My setup costs $230 and I used some 3M Dual Lock Velcro (https://a.co/d/iI8mZVb). The sound is excellent - clear, punchy bass that resonates through the helmet and clean treble at high volumes. I'm finally happy! Be careful when choosing a bluetooth DAC/AMP - there are many out there that sell for $20-$80. These are pretty much the same amp circuits used by SENA/CARDO to keep costs low. They are little more than bluetooth dongles and don't have enough output power to drive 45MM speakers like these. In other words, don't expect excellent sound by just replacing your stock CARDO/SENA speakers with these or the JBL 45mms. Siphon had the right idea to provide a solution for music lovers - the soundpro speakers can reach high volumes but it is so distorted and noisy that it's not worth the $200. Final note on these IASUS speakers: They are thick because of the driver components used. The install is tricky. Take your time and you'll be rewarded with awesome sound!

I use these in my motorcycle helmet. Given that my review may not be relevant to others. For me to hear over the exhaust I need these at max volume and even with the bass low they crackle. It’s unfortunate because I thought with the money spent they would work great. With the volume down and my bike off they sound great but that doesn’t really help while riding.

Pretty good speakers. They have a very wide frequency range and by far sound the best of all helmet speakers I've tried. However, The ear seals do require great care and attention when you put your helmet on to ensure they stay in place as well as seal around your ears correctly. The ear seals are very soft and thin material. I can't see it standing up to more than 1 season of sweat. Taking your helmet off also requires great care not to rip the speakers out. I was hoping they'd be much louder. Even with a tight seal, I don't think they'd be all that loud when driving at highway speeds. So I've also ordered and external headphone amp to help boost the volume. EDIT: Picked up a headphone amplifier, These speakers take the high power input like a CHAMP !!! I can feel the speakers puffing air on my ears when the bass goes, and they stay super clear !!! My helmet now actually has the volume needed for highway riding. Only Wish it didn't require upgrading the source to the speakers to do it. Would be amazing if these speakers came with an inline amp.

These are staggeringly good. Loud and clear but balanced musically. I paired these with the small inline amp Iasus also offers and can say I finally have what I have been searching for. I will be buying another set for my wife immediately.
