Mad Cow Cutlery brand blade guards were designed to protect your knive's edge during storage, and reduce accidental cuts when reaching for a knife in your case or drawer. The guards are constructed of the thickest polymer we could source, that would still be flexible enough to open and fit a blade. What this means is longer life and a tighter fit on your blade. We lined the guards with a commercial grade material that is similar to felt, but much more durable. This allows the blade to slide in easier, and protects the blade from scratches. We textured the outside of the guards to make them easier to grip, especially with wet hands. Unlike other brands, we manufacture our guards to be slightly wider in some of the models to allow for better coverage, especially for curved blade knives. We also were the first to introduce a 12" long, wide blade guard for the larger chef knives and butcher knives, especially the popular cimeter. Our guards are also made slightly longer than other guards, so some of our guards have an extra 1/2" length, to make them more versatile.

Not a good application for storing hunting and edc fixed blade knives.
Thought this would work to protect collection of hunting knives.They seem to be made to fit kitchen knives.Would have been great if they fit....

Totally worth it!
Holds onto my knives perfectly. Huge step up from cardboard or papertowels. Can't seem to find a size my filet likes but that's not surprising really. Protects my edges from me and me from them!

Easy to use, very protective, and would make a nice gift
We have been finding these blade edge guards extremely helpful for protecting the nice, sharp edges of our better knives. We are, of course, less likely to injure ourselves while searching the knife drawer for the implement we want. They cover a nice range of blade sizes. The interior is surpisingly soft, considering how hard the exteriors are. This would be a nice gift for anyone who doesn't want to display her/his knives in the kitchen, and doesn't want them damaged while stored in drawers.Thank you very much for reading my review. Wish I knew about these earlier.
I wish I knew about these edge guards earlier. For years I had been keeping some of my fillet knives in a home-made cardboard sheath. Now my fillet knives are safely stored in a hard cover and fit nicely in my knife roll. Great assortment of sizes included and even fit a butcher knife and carving knife. Overall, very satisfied with this set.

Excellent sizes
These blade guards are of excellent quality and the selection of sizes is perfect for varied knives.Unless one has ideal storage for knives, strong magnetic bars, they often get placed in drawerswhere the blades are not protected.These blade guards protect the blade and protect anyone searching in the drawer.These will extend the life of the blades for a very long time.

Great edge protector.
I keep quite a few knives in a kitchen drawer and although I've never cut myself on any of them, the chances of that happening are always there. I like the way these protect my hands, but also the way they protect the edge of the knives. I was able to find a use for each one of these knife guards and I plan on ordering another set to finish off the job.The guards stay securely in place, but yet they are easy and safe to remove. Nice product!!

Good quality and beyond the price
Nice cover with enough thickness so it'll not east to break, inner side with soft fiber to hold the blade. Very big bargain on this great quality. Recommend to everyone who need a knive cover.
