I put the bulb in the light and ran it for five min. to make sure it fired up then unplugged it. The next time I plugged in the light the bulb was dead. Stone waste of good money!

I've used these for my bud cycle for a many years. I find that with pure sodium I get longer skinnier buds with these I get long yet fat buds. Wonderful option for buding or growing. Great light spectrum

The bulb is rated to last 12,000 hours. Time will tell. The bulb is very bright in the blue spectrum and is supposed to be ideal for plant growth. I'm using mine in a small green house to start vegetables for a summer garden. It's too early now to determine the bulb's effectiveness. Addendum: After a few weeks of use, the bulb abruptly burnt out and had to be replaced. Amazon promptly replaced the bulb. I was able to return the defective bulb to Amazon at no cost to me. I hope it lasts longer.
