Working out great so far!
I recently upgraded to the Dexcom G7 from the G6 and at first was thrilled they came with their own overpatch. That was short lived when I had to change my sensor for the first time and the adhesive proceeded to rip off my skin and/or severely irritate it. It was so bad I thought I was going to have to go back to the G6, but I had to make the G7 work for at least 2 months until I could refill my G6 again through my mail order pharmacy. A friend of mine suggested a patch similar to this one so I went to Amazon to find some to try. I decided on these because of the design as well as the protective shell that fits over my G7 before I apply the overpatch. I am glad I did! Recently on vacation we swam a lot and applied a lot of sunscreen… all things that I knew would weaken the overpatch early. With the protective shell, I was able to swap out overpatches early with no issue! I suspect without it, the sensor may have stuck to the overpatch and possibly have been removed early. Maybe not though, because even the adhesive on that tiny G7 sensor is rough stuff. I have a hard time getting it off. Regardless, these patches have worked out great! They easily last the full 10 days under normal circumstances. Lots of swimming and sunblock will weaken them. Just a friendly reminder… these will leave tan lines. 😂 Obviously that’s not a complaint, just more of a warning to consider when you are placing yours.

Great product
Love the patches for my Dexcom. Great options and sticks well.

Pretty, hard to remove
I really like the designs. They're fun and not plain. The reason it doesn't get five stars is that they stick so well to the little protective cup that it takes me a long time to unstick them and I get sticky all over my fingers.

All things considered - one of the best patches.
I first tried Skin Grip, but the cost plus the fact that the designs are SO BORING (especially for a toddler) that I went looking elsewhere. But then I had sensors constantly failing and I realized it was because I switched from Skin Grip. Once I went back, sensors stopped failing, but we were back to boring. So I went searching again, and finally found these. They are wonderful! The cost isn't bad and the designs are so much more fun for a three year old. I'd still say the Skin Grips are slightly better quality. They (and the sensors) almost always last the full ten days often without any issues. These often last the full ten days, but I can always tell when we're a day or two off from the sensor expiring because we start having brief sensor alerts (and that doesn't happen nearly as often- at least for us- with the Skin Grip). But all things considered- the design is a big enough deal with trying to do everything I can to make site changes as positive as I can, that I feel it outweighs slightly lower quality. And the quality still vastly outperforms some of the other brands (like Jinyusega, and Not Just a Patch Air- we had terrible luck consistently with those. Which is sad because Jinyusega has some cute patches. I normally don't like to complain about specific companies - but I feel it's important for other parents to know as experimenting with patches can be super expensive). Hopefully this is helpful!

Stays on, protects, not causing itchy skin.
I am tough on my dexcom7s. I run into doorframe, shelves....and knock my sensors off. I tried a protector that fits over the sensor and has a wider base. It improved my results. This one is a solid sticker and has a hard plastic "hat" over the sensor. I have hit it a couple times and did not dislodge the dexcom. So works great! The stickers that come with this sem to work with sweat, water, and very sensitive skin. I break out at most adhesives, this one has been good. It does fray with showers. For me, the point is to have this on for protection from bumps. Also, to provide a sacrificial layer for showers. When it starts to peel, I remove the outer sticker and "hat", replace the sticker and reapply.

Freaking Adorable but not for sensitive skin…
These patches are super cute and so soft. I adore them honestly…however they are not very good for sensitive skin. The adhesive also doesn’t adhere for more than a day, so was disappointed there. It left me with a rash and some small blisters from the adhesive. They come in a tin for perfect easy storage. Perfect for someone who is ok with changing their overpatch frequently and doesn’t have sensitive skin.

Absolutely the very best Over Patch that I've ever tried!
I volunteer with a local fire department. In my leisure, I'm usually running around in a t-shirt. When we have a call, I have to put on my Turnout Coat. When the Emergency is over, I take it off. This is where I most often had my CGM pull out. I was using a CGM by another major manufacturer. No matter which brand of Over Patch I tried, including elastic armbands or hook and loop armband, my CGM kept getting knocked off. I got tired of calling the manufacturer and requesting replacements. The "customer service" rep would go through their question tree to make sure that I was doing everything possible to not lose my CGM's, making me feel like a criminal or a scammer. When the opportunity arose, I switched to the G7 and began my Over Patch search all over again. I tried two others before I ordered the Kovoq. The adhesive is relatively strong. The reusable plastic shell is where the magic begins. Even if the Over Patch accidentally gets pulled off, that only takes the plastic shell with it. The CGM should still be attached to your arm. It can be challenging to apply by yourself, but if you have someone to help you, it takes about 30 seconds to get it aligned and applied. I've had to change Over Patches a couple of times because they had gotten frayed and started to pull away but the cost of an Over Patch is way less expensive than replacing a CGM. One thing I do recommend is getting a bottle of Adhesive Remover to remove residual glue when changing Over Patches. The one I got recommended Cotton Balls but I found that a piece of first aid Gauze works much better.

These are very sturdy, they don’t peel off, they last the full 10 days on my G7. I feel more comfortable with this overpatch as it seems to keep the CGM in place especially when your getting dressed and undressed, I no longer catch the CGM. Great product. The overpatch in the picture is after 5 days and it’s still sticking ver well. There is a bit of fraying on the edges but it’s not peeling off at all.
