Leather Case for HiBy R4 Portable Music Player

Worth the price of admission. I thought it was a bit pricey at first but its so much better than the stock case that comes with the r4. I love how the buttons feel in this case, the fit is fantastic and its so much better have the back of the unit being completely flat now with the cut out for the top half of the unit and display lights. I am concerned that with this colour being the only choice, the wear and patina over time might make it go yellowy…but time will tell. This colour is very nice as it is but a black, dark brown or blue option would have been favoured. The corners have meticulous folds and joins which i also hope retain their structure and adhesion through my use, time will tell on that one. Overall, it looks, feels and fits great and i could recommend so far over other cases i have seen.

I first bought an MITER case for the HiBy R4 on Amazon. This is a great case—very stylish and high quality. I then decided to get this official HiBy leather case for the R4. This leather case exceptionally protects the R4 from casual bumps and soft falls. Unlike the MITER Case, it covers the side volume and control buttons, but you can feel their location by touch. You can access the IEM jacks and the USB connector on the bottom. This case also covers the SD Card slot on the R4. That means that you have to remove the case to change SD cards. I love how this slimmer case feels on my hands on my hands. It is closer to size and doesn’t add much bulk to the player. This case, like the MITTER one, doesn’t cover the top of the player. However, like in the MITER Case, the HiBy strap can help protect the player. One big difference is that the HiBY Case will better protect the bottom corners than the MITER Case, as it completely covers these edges. On the negative side, this case doesn’t cover the thick back side on top of the player by design. However, considering this makes this case slimmer, I guess it is a compromise in the design. The other con is more of a nitpick. Unlike the MITER Case, this one comes in only one color, which HiBy calls “Off-White.” It’s kind of like a beige color. I wish they had used a few other colors, like black or red. Still, I guess it looks incredible as it is. HiBy did a great job designing this case for their R4 DAP. It's an affordable option instead of the MITER case, but it doesn't feel cheap. I do hope that HiBy will offer these in other colors. Black, red, or blue would be awesome. As it is, this is an excellent cover for the R4!

Excelente complemento para el R4, hasta podría decirse que es una compra casi, casi obligatoria para que el reproductor permanezca protegido sobre todo de rayones y en caso más extremo hasta amortiguar pequeños golpes o caídas. Se siente de muy buena calidad su construcción y el R4 entra y sale sin ningún problema, cubre perfectamente los botones laterales y la ranura para la Sd. 100% recomendado si eres propietario de un R4 o piensas adquirir uno.
