Easy for the elderly with poor eyesight to use.
Easy to use for the end user. SIngle button to press to cycle through; first press gives the time and the second press gives the date and day of the week all in a make voice that is clearly heard. For the care giver, it is a little cumbersome to set the date and time with the two buttons on the back of the keychain but once you understand the process it takes about 2-3 minutes to set the date and time. I will have to reset the date and time for my elderly father twice a year with the time change. The first time you do it you might have a little trial and error. My father just received it and loves it. It solved a major problem for us since he could no longer tell the time via his wall clock or his alarm clock. He can wander the retirement home with his walker and when he needs to know if it is close to lunch or dinner, he can pull out the keychain and depress the black button one time and it tells him the time in a male voice. If needed, he can hold it up close to his ear but he found it easy to hear even held at waist level. There is no volume control but it is loud enough for his use but not loud enough to disturb the other retirement home residents when he is the hallway and checking the time. Well worth it and my father loves it.

Announces the time in a loud and clear voice
Announces the time in a clear, loud voice, well made, setting was simple (press both buttons), and the easily replaceable battery is a big plus. An improvement from the different slightly smaller keychain talking clock I previously used that had finicky buttons and required dealing with screws to replace the battery.

Works great, but easy to press the wrong button in the middle of the night.
I bought this a month or so ago; setting the time was very easy, and I thought all was well whenever I checked the time. But tonight when I woke up in the middle of the night and pressed the button, it didn't work. Figured it was probably totally kaput since I wouldn't expect the battery to die so soon. Then when I picked it up & pressed it again, everything was fine. Realized that it had been upside down the first time. Since the main button is at 1 corner, and the other side has buttons at 2 corners (those are the ones to set the time), I realized it's very easy to press one of the buttons on the wrong side if you're not paying attention, or in my case, I had placed it upside down on the table next to the bed.

Great for macular degeneration or any low vision patients. Clear voice, easily heard.
This little gadget is a godsend for my mom who has severe macular degeneration. She can no longer see clocks, and Alexa and Siri confuse her. She has sporatic sleep issues and often gets up in the middle of the night thinking it's morning. Since she can't see the clocks she ends up being up for hours in the middle of the night. So we got this talking clock for her and boy has it helped! I saw in some of the reviews that people had a hard time setting it but we had no problems whatsoever. I put a piece of bright green tape on the top side where the button is to push for the time only so my mom could identify the correct side so she didn't accidentally press the programming buttons on the bottom. She loves it! It's loud enought to hear and is a clear man's voice. I wouldn't hesitate to get this!

Did not survive 4 days in the hands of a 92 year old
Easy to follow instructions let me set time and date within minutes of opening the box and unfolding the instructions. Gave it to my mother and she was overjoyed. I returned 5 days later and she said it had stopped working. She allowed her caretaker to look at it, who opened the battery compartment and told my mother that the battery "was dancing" whatever that means, and then she applied a generous helping of duct tape to the battery and jammed the battery lid back in place. Clock now refuses to allow time to be reset. When I examined it I removed the tape and attempted to set time/date. Clock no longer accepts input. Totally Useless

This talking clock keychain is an invaluable tool for visually impaired seniors. We purchased it for my 92-year-old father-in-law, who is legally blind, and it has proven to be an excellent choice. The device provides essential time information in a clear, accessible format, offering both independence and peace of mind for him and his caregivers. The keychain's North American English voice is easily understandable, even for those with hearing difficulties. It not only announces the time but also the day of the week, which is particularly helpful for seniors who may lose track of days. The contrasting button on the front is a bit small, but it's easy to locate and press, making it simple for him to use. Setting up the clock and alarm required assistance from us, but despite this very minor drawback, the device has significantly improved my father-in-law's daily life, allowing him to keep track of time independently and stay oriented throughout the week. This talking clock keychain has become an essential accessory for my visually impaired father-in-law, enhancing his autonomy and providing reassurance to our family. It's a simple yet effective solution for seniors facing similar challenges.

It is a good idea for people with blindness. I got it for one of my residents who inorder to know eat time it is..he has to get up and turn his computer on so he can know the time. But, the same day I got it..for his birthday..it stopped. Dead battery. I changed it and it's working good so far. He is pleased with it. Set up is not to difficult.

I bought another one of these because it's very intuitive using only touch and hearing, the audible menus are easy to figure out as there are only two buttons in the back to press. The front button is a bit small but at least you can hear both the time and the date. What I don't like is how easily the internals quit and die forever if I sit on this key chain, or how easily it triggers if it's a pocket and I bend or lean.

I was pleased at how easy the set up was, after being initially fearful when I saw two pages of instructions. Granted, these are printed much larger than 99% of any I've seen for some time, and were extremely concise and helpful. The voice is mechanical; however, it is very clear. A volume adjustment feature would be kind of nice, but the item is not reading you a book, so I am fine with it. The clock is keeping good time thus far, and unless it stops functioning within the next two weeks, I'm very happy with my purchase, especially considering the cost of it being so reasonable.
