I think it's a great package overall. Basically a complete video rig. I've seen other ones that have a built in wide angle lens. Or atleast looked like it was built in. But that's not not an issue. I like the 3 shoe mounts. Plus you got the screw holes on the top corners so you can add more stuff if need be. You need to have/ get a camera screw converter screw kit to do that. Anyway the only thing I would change about this rig is the bottom phone mount slot.. my phone doesn't fit with having a pretty basic case on. I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 star. If the bottom slot was a little wider this would be perfect. I'm not docking points for that. Most phone mounts and rigs are for phones without a case on them.

I run two YouTube channels and wanted to use my phone as the camera (galaxy s9). This thing has been great! Sturdy design and comes with the light and microphone which both work awesome. I use it at least 10x a week with no problems at all. The adjustment tool to hold the phone slides easily up and down for easy use, and stays locked down when it's tightened. I attached a tripod mount on the bottom and keep it on there for easy install when still shooting. Great product! Erik

The only real downside I've had with this set-up is that the springy phone holder won't hold my phone. I have an iphone 14 with an encasing case and a popsocket, and both these prevent the holder from holding it secure. Even without the case or popsocket, I think the frame is likely to press into your power button or create some other unintended consequences.The frame does screw into the tripod I already had, so that's handy.Saying that, I managed to work round it and the set-up produces very nice videos with good sound. The light turns on with a dial button that allows a range of lighting, but I still find the lowest setting too bright so I draped some toilet paper on it to diffuse it more.The microphone seems to work really well. I needed a lightning adapter with the headphone jack for it to work, but that works great.How did I work around the phone thing? I used an old spotlight with a bendy tripod to hold it in place, and this plus the iphone's cinematic setting, has produced a really nice outcome.The short version of this review is that it works great for me but with modifications.

I purchased this item for my 11 year old son. He loves to make videos for youtube, and TikTok. It was easy to use and set up ( an 11 year old can do it) just a note if you have a iPhone without a 3mm jack input you need to buy the special attachment to plug in the light port! It’s a great starter piece if into making videos!

I purchased this unit with the hopes that it could hold my Samsung Note 20 Ultra with the Otterbox. No other mount could hold this monster. This cage does it and has mounting tabs for accessories such as lighting, microphones and whatever else you want to add to your rig. Worth the money...

It’s ok. Helps to reduce the shaky movements when taking a video. Light plastic material and the mic doesn’t work very well. The batteries in the light gm should be rechargeable if you plan to use it a lot. They drain then pretty fast.
