Threading advice.
Great product! Actually makes a significant difference in scale build up. Customer service is great. One piece of advice—use two tight wraps of Teflon tape AND a thin coating of pipe dope. Lubrication from the dope helps prevent cross threading of composite plastic filter head.

Lousy product that does not feed through cartridge.
Purchased this item to install prior to my Rinnai Tankless Water Heater. Great concept but it does not actually work. Called customer service, sent pictures of the installation, and even received a replacement cartridge as the company did not know why the original cartridge did not work. They could only assume it is defective. Have had about 4-5 conversations with the company until they went radio silent and do not seem to want to replace what appears to be a defective head unit. The water flows in the correct direction but just does not draw the filter solution regardless of how many times it is re-installed. I will suggest the product is junk and NOT worth purchasing. Caveat emptor! The customer service is pretty awful too.

Item not as described, only got the filter cartridge
The item is priced and shows photos of the full system with housing, but I was only shipped the replacement filter cartridge.

Softens water as it should
The product is easy to install as it comes with it's own proprietary wrench. I use this item to soften water for our Rinnai combi boiler. It does the trick.

Shipped with missing parts.
Received the the main unit. No wrench, paperwork, nor mounting bracket. Found the pdf of the paperwork from another site. Unit should come with all listed.

Easily cross-threaded!
I just installed but wanted to let others know about a design issue. The 3/4" plastic female pipe threads are not tapered properly and subject to easily cross-threading when installing short fittings. I recommend installing\removing a minimum length 8" piece of pipe squarely to establish and open the thread path prior to installing the shorter fittings as applicable. If not you'll cross thread the plastic because you can't hold the short fitting square when installing.It's going to be some time before I can report how effective this filter is. I'll report back later.
