Robust, High-Performance SFP+ RJ45 Transceiver for Modern Networks
The H!Fiber 10Gb SFP+ RJ45 Transceiver is a standout choice for anyone looking to integrate 10GBase-T connectivity into an SFP+ networking environment without sacrificing performance or flexibility. Engineered to support 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100Mbps, this module delivers excellent versatility for mixed-speed network deployments, making it ideal for data centers, server racks, and high-performance enterprise installations. Technical & Performance Highlights: Multi-Rate Support: This transceiver supports a broad range of speeds—10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1G, and 100Mbps—enabling seamless backward compatibility with legacy infrastructure while providing true 10Gbps performance where needed. It’s a practical solution for environments where mixed-speed devices coexist. 10GBase-T Over Copper: By leveraging standard RJ45 interfaces, the unit allows administrators to use existing copper Cat6a/Cat7 cabling, reducing the need for expensive fiber upgrades. With full 10GBase-T support out to typical copper limits, this transceiver offers reliable high-speed connectivity with low latency. Low Latency & Efficient Protocol Handling: The module exhibits efficient encoding/decoding and low latency characteristics typical of quality SFP+ devices, ensuring that high-throughput applications like virtualization, clustered servers, and storage networks perform smoothly. It’s engineered to meet stringent IEEE 802.3 standards and deliver consistent, stable links across varying speeds. Plug-and-Play Compatibility: Installation is straightforward with a hot-swappable form factor that fits standard SFP+ ports on switches, routers, and NICs. It interoperates with a wide array of OEM equipment and supports automatic speed negotiation, enabling hassle-free integration into existing infrastructure. Durable Build & Thermal Efficiency: The transceiver housing is solidly constructed and optimized for thermal performance, assisting in heat dissipation during extended high-speed operation. It’s rugged enough for continuous use in demanding environments.

Stop thinking about it and just buy it! Works good! Manufacturer backs their product!
I completely upgraded my network and needed several of these as I've installed a 10g backbone with managed switches. For me using Mokerlink and Netgear managed switches and routers I've got nothing but great things to say about these SFP+ 10g modules. They've been plug and play each time I've used them. I did replace all my older patch cables up to Cat6/Cat6a type so I've obtained max speed with no flapping between speeds. Cat5e is in the wall throughout my home and still got to 10g from core router out to each managed switch as I connected through these SFP+ modules. My warranty experience. One module did decide to stop working after 9+ months. I swapped in my spare and got things working again and then tested it in other open ports to see if I could revive it (silly I know, cause when they stop working that usually it). Didn't work but was worth a try. I reached out to Manufacturer with my Amazon order number, date ordered, and SPF+ model number and they swapped it out. After telling them what I had tried to see if it was my router port/switch port/yes I tested it in several places they just had me ship it back to them and upon arrival they shipped me a new one. Only a handful of days total for whole process tbh. So Great customer service and honoring their warranty!!

Great price for a quality module
Bought this for connecting my NAS to my UDM-SE and open something more than 1g or 2.5g speeds. Plugged in very easily (this should be expected with an SFP module; if not something is wrong) and has worked flawlessly for months. Some people mentioned it running hot, but that is to be expected with a copper 10g connection (one of the reasons I like fibre instead, but had no option here). I'm able to hold a finger on mine for a few seconds before it being fairly uncomfortable, so all is well. Cost was below what "big brand" modules would cost, but was perfectly compatible with my UDM-SE and the connection has been solid since day 1.

It works as expected
Works great on a Netgear 10gbps unmanaged switch. Freed up one of the rj45 ports for actual devices.

Run hot!
These seem to work fine but do run very hot

Works with Aruba Instant ON 1930 and TP-Link
So far so good. I have only tested at 10gb, but haven’t had any issues. While the Aruba switches do tend to work with just about anything I plug in to them, they do indicate if the device isn’t intended for that switch by way of the LED: orange means not happy, green means happy. Of course that isn’t the most accurate, but I think you get it. All my DAC cables blink orange but still operate just fine at 10gb. The LED blinks green with this one. I will test it on a 2.5gb connection shortly and update. Long term update: 12/2025 I’ve been using a pair of these to connect 2 Aruba 1930 switches over cat 6 for nearly a year now. Unfortunately, a DAC cable wouldn’t work for this application. These modules have held up like champs. I also have a 3rd one slotted into my tp-link aggregation switch for 10gbe to my Mac Studio. That also has performed well and within expectations. I still haven’t tested these at 2.5gb.

Inexpensive SFP module has worked great so far
Bought this module to replace another 10G SFP module that stopped working properly. Plugged the new module into the 10G switch and worked instantly. Transfers are speedy to my NAS and router, which all have 10G links. However, my home's Cat5E cabling is the limiting factor in getting the full potential out of their module.

Taught myself a lesson
New to home fiber optics. Started this because it's easy to retrofit through tight spaces. I had bought MM multimode transceivers rather than SM single mode. Same with fiber cables. Now I have a mixed single/multi mode network. Works perfectly and definitely resilient. Same brand and quality for both types. Good choice.
