This is the holy grail of pest control
It's an expensive book but I can confirm that it's basically the bible for pest control operations. It's extremely detailed on a wide variety of insects, fungi and animals that are pest control related. This book is a big reason, if not the main reason, why I was successful in passing the exams for my certified applicator license. If you're serious about pest control as your profession or learning the craft, you would be wise to have this on your bookshelf; especially if you're interested taking the certified applicator or licensee exams.

Good Resource
My only criticism of this book is the IPM perspective. The author(s) take the IPM approach to the ultimate extreme, insisting that PMPs should NEVER do treatments based on predetermined schedules. That's unrealistic. The industry is led by large pest management operations, many earning millions each year from regularly scheduled pesticide applications. The idea that a small or mid-size pest operation can compete with these large operations by doing fewer treatments for more money per treatment is absurd. One company will solve your problem for $80-100 paid 4-6 times a year and guarantee a pest-free home. The other wants $250 for each visit to solve your problem because they're going to be monitoring and strategically treating with the bare minimum of chemicals. The average American will choose the $80-100 regularly scheduled treatment option. In many parts of the US, PMPs know how long the products last and how often they need to be applied to achieve desired results, and that's the reason for regularly scheduled applications. The author(s) fail to recognize this. But still, it's a good resource. Highly recommended.

More impressive than expected
Just received this book in the mail today and I haven't read it yet. Once I do maybe I'll update this review. However, just wanted to indicate here that I received it as advertised. What I wasn't expecting was the sheer size of it. This is like a college textbook. I was skeptical at first at the cost but now that I see it, I understand. It is about two inches thick with a hardcover and glossy pages and color pictures. It looks amazing on the inside with my specialty pest on the cover. Couldn't ask for more. I'm eager to dig into it. I've been a bed bug and german roach focused tech for going on five years and figured it's a good time to try to upgrade my license. Hoping this does the trick!

The Bible of pest control
Each new volume printed just gets better and has more details than the older version. I am a pest control tech and this is my go to book when I can't solve a problem of my own.
