eTopxizu 16.4ft 5M SMD 5050 Waterproof 300LEDs RGB Flexible LED Strip Light Lamp Kit + 44Key IR Remote Controller

Purchased from eTopLED and fulfilled by Amazon. Got to my door surprisingly quick and was packaged in anti-stat material as it should be.The LED strip itself is of better quality than I expected. The LED controller worked like a charm despite it having a very cheap feel. Instructions were almost non-existent. There is an arrow to ONE SIDE of the controller plug and an arrow in the MIDDLE of the LED Strip plug. Impossible to align obviously so after some serious thinking, it was clear the arrow on the plug must be aligned with the BLACK wire (+12 v dc) on the strip. (Backwards thinking heh?) "Common Anode". You need to also be careful to secure the plugs together because there is no "snap" when joined and they fall apart very easily.The LED's are bright and consistent. I can see no difference in brightness between any 2 LED's in the entire 300 LED strip.A 12 V DC power supply rated at 5 amps is required and not included with the particular package I ordered. I had an old HP Printer power supply ready and waiting for it when it arrived.The remote control while being very light weight and cheaply made, works like a charm. No complaints for the price.I used these as accent lighting beneath my office desk where my 4 year old Granddaughter loves to play with her toy "electronics engineer" play-set and drafting table.. They have been working beautifully since installation and she loves making any color she wants when she's doing her engineering stuff.I most certainly will purchase more of these and recommend them to anyone looking for a good set of strip lighting for an insanely low price. I'm sure the LED strip itself will last, the controller, I'm not so sure. Only time will tell.I don't know how they make money on this !!!!

These sets are fun. Crazy fun. They are beautiful, bright and the uses are numerous. They can be used for many applications. However! The glue on the backing is great at first, but give it a few days and you'll be awoken at night by the falling stars. I've used clear packing tape to support the supplied adhesive. The control nodes (little white boxes) are easily manipulated when you have more than one set. They all run on the same frequency, which normally would be great, but sets close together can mis-read color signals from the controller and even re-arrange the color memory from the remote. ie. I have three sets to light my desk and entertainment system. When I hit, let's say, Green, two of the sets turn green and the other turns Fuchsia. Still, I love the set and the price. They're great for fun, but I wouldn't purchase them for any professional or permanent home use.

I ran this through some pretty quick tests and it seems to do what it claims. Just be aware that the little white box in the photo is not a power supply - it connects to a power supply and contains the small infrared receiver that picks up signals from the remote. This doesn't come with a power supply, but thankfully I bought a reel of warm white LEDs that does come with one (stay tuned for my other review for that one). Anyway, if you plan to use this right away, be sure to pick up a compatible power supply. I didn't pay enough attention to the pictures or the description, so I didn't realize it until I got it. In the end it wasn't a big deal, but I just want you to be aware.

Pros:The LEDs are really good, really bright, they light up my whole room whatever color it is on, as long as its dark in the room.The controller is so much better than the 24 key one, the 44 has good responsiveness, and doesn't feel like its going to fall apart.The strip itself has a connector at both ends, so if you want to add another strip it is easy to do so.Cons:No power supply, but you can always pick one up from a flea market for a few bucks, much cheaper than buying a new one.

lights came in pretty fast but with wrong stuff... we got a 44 key remote and only a 24key white box that the remote works with... was not happy about that and we are still waiting on the new box to come in

They are pretty good, much better than the 3528 but this particular set isn't as bright as others that I've used and the colors on the buttons and the color of the light are pretty different. I bought a name brand set a couple years ago, from Lowes and it was a lot better. It did cost twice as much so...

Great price! Product sucks! Had one roll with defective RGB lights. I understand nothing is perfect but test the darn things before shipping them out. It takes literally ten seconds to light up and check each roll before packaging. Now I have to take time out of my schedule to drive to a UPS store to return. I would have given this a five-star rating if not for the defect roll. Buy at your own risk. I haven't heard back from the seller so I'll be fair and correct this review if I am taken care of properly.

Received everything in a timely manner and all was exactly as described. I mounted them on the underside of my RV to use as mood lighting and they do a magnificent job and work exactly as described. I have also used them inside our RV as soft lighting for watching TV and as night lights. They work great for both applications, I would reccomend them to anyone interested in this type of lighting. A tremendous value!
