It's great for mashing cat food but you must clean thoroughly straight away and rinse with hot water once you've finished because like all plastics they can become tainted with the smell of things they contact if left.Very sturdy and comfortable to use.

I bought this for my husband because he likes eating egg sandwiches and it’s been such a time saving little gadget. It makes mashing up eggs so fast and so when he’s in a rush to make an egg sandwich on lunch, this makes the process faster and easier. Really easy to clean as well and dishwasher friendly.

Like another reviewer, I bought this to mash cat food.It works brilliantly but for some reason only known to my cat, he won’t eat food mashed with this!However it’s a sturdy, handy little masher that will be useful for eggs, avocado or anything else.Not dishwasher proof according to the label, which is a bit disappointing.
