A very nice wax jacket. and my preference over a similar Barbour product. I had one of the originals back in the 1980's, that lasted me 20 years before I threw it out. This one seems to be of similar quility, time will tell. Two things to note. The two way zipper: In my experience, two way zippers usually end up causing more grief than they're worth, by overtime, causing the material at the start of the zip to fray and fail.The sizing: I'm 6ft 2 and weigh 184 lb. I originally ordered a size large. The sleeves were too short, and although it fit me well enough with just a tee shirt underneith, movement became very restricted once I added a couple of warm layers, this is a cold weather jacket after all, and advertised as a hunting jacket, so the size should account for extra layers,and the need for freedom of movement, to be able to quickly mount a rifle when the opportunity for a shot presents itself.I returned the L and ordered a size XL.The sleeves are the correct length, and it is easily allows me to wear a couple of extra layers. It solves the freedom of movement issue too. If anything, I'd say it was a little too big, but I guess it's just my build. Better a little too large than too small right. Overall, I think I'm gonna be please with this jacket. Be interesting to see how it beds in a feels after a season in the woods.

This is my second one, the first one lasted me forever, and was still in great shape, unfortunately something got to it in storage while I was deployed, and it got destroyed.These coats are very durable, fairly decent for cold weather, superb quality. The only thing I'd like, is maybe some additional insulation.

This coat is very warm and water proof. It has a generous fit and is of excellent quality. It has plenty of pocket space and they are easily accessible. Overall, I love this coat. The coat is very heavy but for the warmth it provides, it's a fair trade off. The only issue I have is with the zipper. It's very heavy duty and is designed unzip from the bottom after it's zipped (dual zipper). The problem come when you first zip up the coat, often the zipper pulls don't line up with each other easily as they should so often you are fighting to get started zipping the coat.

Have only had it a week and its been pissing rain and in the thirties the whole time. I have stayed warm and dry for the duration, only a light cotton t-shirt underneath. May be early but it should hold heat into the low twenties and there is room enough inside for a fleece without discomfort. Great jacket, plan to buy one for my father soon.

I really, really like this jacket/coat. It's extremely well made and designed. Love the look, the feel and the weight. It's a fairly heavy coat, when you compare it to down or even fleece. But there's something satisfying about putting it on. I'm actually looking forward to some colder weather, so I can start wearing it. It seems like it will be a perfect level of warmth for temps from about 40 down to 20, which actually accounts for the majority of winter days here in Chicago. ANd of course snow won't phase it. I have a real heavy down parka for when it gets below 20. But this will be my go-to coat at temperatures above that. It's my first Outback Trading Co. product, and so far I'm very impressed.

Perfect jacket for anyone and anything. Love the length and would recommend to everyone.
