This looks exactly like the pic. I love looking at it, and have it on a multi-cube wall unit. My only complaint is the charge doesn't last long enough to keep it glowing for a whole evening of viewing. It needs to be charged daily, and I'd say I get about 2-3 hours max out of a charge. If it lasted 6-8 hours, I'd give it 5 stars. Looks very cool when it's lit, but that doesn't last very long.

looks good enough while it lasts, HOWEVER: this light does not work while it's charging, and it needs A LOT of charging, e.g., does not last through the night. you have the option of either having the light plugged in (charging) or not plugged in (shining) but not both.

These are actually really awesome, beautiful lamps. Totally dreamlike. The reason I give 4 stars is, these are described as "touch lamps" which lead me to believe they would be great nightstand lamps. The problem with that turned out to be, you can only activate them by touching in a very specific location, at the charging point. That's not so good for me if I need to turn on the lamp in the middle of the night so I can find my way to the can. The other reason these lamps are not so great for the nightstand purpose is their limited illumination. I got two of them, and using them by themselves was basically like pointless, I could hardly see. These are great accent lights, totally unique and eye catching.

I love this beautiful, accurate, textured rendition of the moon. I purchased the largest size, about 8.5 inches. After 7 hours of steady on, full white, it is slowly dimming. I expect that in a lower, dim mode it will last longer. However, 7 hours is a long time for one charge. I wonder how many charge cycles the internal battery will last. The small, included 4 inch stand is workable but just three points, tri-pod would be OK for a smaller unit. The cost is for the moon itself not the stand. I would suggest a larger, different stand would make this beautiful item more interesting and stable. I have ordered a larger, more interesting 5 point stand for this beautiful moon. The weight is not a concern as even the largest moon size is just under 1 pound.

The electrical hook up is sketchy as hell and doesn't fully work. It assumes you have a wire coming through the ceiling without an electrical box. That isn't exactly to code pretty much anywhere in the US.The instructions and fixture say 12w max bulb and they give you two 16w bulbs. The power wire says 220v AC not 110v and the cord is insanely skinny. Thinner then 18g speaker wire...That being said i was replacing an Ikea paper lantern. I was able to put the new led bulb in the Ikea fixture, remove the old paper pattern shade and hang the moon directly on the Ikea lamp. I basically swapped the moon for the paper lantern shade and it worked prefect. I did notice i can see lines in the moon likely from the printing when turned on. It's beautiful and less expensive than most but the wire hook up is kinda scary if you use it. All the wiring is written in English and Chinese.4 stars if it had proper wiring5 stars if it also didn't have printing lines in the darker areas

I love it sooo much 😍, I'm a photographer and I'm already having a lot of fun with it. It's very cool 😍.Update: one year ago I bought this moon on 9/27/2017 and it still works very good! I love it very much, and everyone that have seen it in my room they love it so much. And still use it for my photography.

Almost impossible to get balanced and if you lose power, forget it, it slams back into the base. After a couple times slamming into the base, something seems to get dislodged and it won't balance again for love or money. Way too expensive for what it is. On/off switch never worked, vendor should be ashamed.

After not being happy with another moon lamp I had purchased I found myself in amazon again trying to find something I was happy with. My complaint with the first one I bought was the fact that the dark spots of the moon when lit were not even close to accurate and honestly they barely show when it is lit. Thankfully by the photos submitted by reviewers of this model I gave this one a try. I have to say that this one blows away the other model I bought. The dark spots of the moon are accurately there and it makes it more convincing or realistic looking. The seamless version is a plus as you can use more of the moon when used as a prop. I highly recommend this brand if you are looking for accuracy in detail. What a great photo prop.
