Set of 3 Construction Utensils, Construction Plate and Construction Worksite Placemat

Our son is 2y9m old and he was diagnosed with sensory modulation disorder at 2.5y old. He is also a picky eater for many reasons. He has trouble staying on the table to finish his meal. Using different tricks we have improved his mealtime experience a lot, but still struggled with getting him to try new foods. He loves cars, trucks, construction vehicles, airplanes...anything transportation... As soon as he saw the kit he was extremely excited and wanted to use it right away. At the time I am writing this review we used the kit for almost two months. It keeps his interest long enough to complete a meal with minimum or no standing up from the table, unless we serve him something that he really does not want to eat or he is not hungry. He always brought toys to the table and now he has virtually stopped that, since he has toys on his utensils. He has so much fun loading the front loader spoon and the fork-lift with the bulldozer. For the past two months this set has made mealtimes relaxed and fun and significantly increased his willingness to try new foods. He tried at least 15 new foods and kept about 5 in his food choices. He ate broccoli-tree with the fork-lift, like a giant :) He requested peas (they are on the mat), which he used to eat for a short time and eliminated. Now he eats peas again and tomatoes and carrots (all on the mat) and all of them he had eliminated from his diet for close to a year. Thanks to this set he now eats: broccoli, olives, carrots, tomatoes and he tried an egg dish he always refused and some other foods, that I can't recall now. He also has been eating larger portions since we got the set. He also eats yogurt again after he had it eliminated from his diet it for 2 years.The plate set itself is very high quality and we use the same set over and over and wash it by hand mostly, but it has been through the dishwasher too w/o problems.We hope for continued success with it and that its novelty will not wear off!

Cute - I bought this for my grandson for Easter

While not an exciting gift for a 4-year-old to open, my sister-in-law reports that they use this plate for almost every meal and it really helps him eat his food! Love that it’s dishwasher safe and very good quality. I’d love to order more sets in the future. Just not a fan of the price but it seems to have been worth it!

This plate, placemat and utensil set cost nearly $100 Australian shipped, which is not cheap. But then neither is the product. It is expensive but the quality is apparent in the packaging, the materials, the utensils etc. I could have ordered this from an ad on Facebook but I went to Amazon to buy it at more than twice the advertised FB price because I trust Amazon. I have bought things from Facebook advertisers that were not from the USA as alleged but China, were not as described and even not the same thing at al! These products are the real Made in the USA deal and the delivery was bang on as promised. I will pay more for quality and trustworthy service every time. As for the stuff, the boy loves them and we are confident they are safe for him to eat off.

I originally bought this product for my great nephew and he loved using this product. When I saw how he enjoyed it I bought it to use in my therapy - I am an occupational therapist. This was a real game changer and found more of my students were willing to eat or try foods with the dishes and utensils from this producer.

I absolutely love this set! It’s so cute. My son loves eating with his new construction plate and utensils. I like that the fork pokes his food and holds the food really well. Unlike other kids forks that the food slides right off the end and then I have a frustrated child crying “I can’t do it :(” it’s also really convenient that the plate and utensils are dishwasher safe. We’ve used this set about 5 times now and have had no issues with washing it in the dishwasher, top or bottom rack. I really with it came with a matching bowl. My only issue with the set is the placemat. We haven’t had this item long at all and the placemat is already fading. I haven’t used any harsh chemicals or abrasives on it, only a soft sponge and soapy water. And as you can see in the picture, it’s already fading. I’m really bummed that we have used this item for such a short period of time and it looks like it’s years old. I’m still in my return window but my son loves the plate and utensils so much, it’s not worth the trouble. I think the placemat should be more durable based on how much I paid for the set.

My messy eater loves this. Every time we use it, he is on his best behavior at the table. Seems a little expensive though.

Purchased these as gifts for two very young boys that would not stay at the table. This has brought them to the table and engaged in using the utensils. The placemats have areas where the utensils and plates should be set. This teaches the boys how to set the table.
