This is a wonderful product. It may seem a bit expensive when compared with others available. Trust me this one totally justifies the price difference as I have used the cheaper ones as well.It's sturdiness, looks and packaging are world class.You can buy with eyes closed.Actually I depend heavily on reviews before buying a product.So I thought it's my duty to let others know that this is indeed worth the money.

This is a great product. It's sturdy and has great esthetic appeal. Have been using this product for past 1 year now, and it looks still brand New and it's performance is absolutely consistent. Must have for kitchen. Go for it without giving any other thoughts guys

I have been using this for the past 2 years to make pastes for chutney and ground dry spices. It isn't great.The pestle is fairly sturdy. It has grooves on the bottom and the handle provides a good grip.The mortar doesn't serve my purpose. It is really smooth and not wide enough. So it doesn't make a uniform paste nor does it crush spices to a fine powder. It should have been rough and slightly wider. It has an anti-slip foam on the bottom which is good.It is an okay product. It looks nice but if you are a perfectionist in the kitchen I wouldn't recommend it.There are several products out there which are better. I would suggest you go to a shop and buy it - make sure it is marble and has rough surfaces.

This mortar and pestle set is beautiful! I love the deep green colour. We keep it on the counter rather than in a cupboard just because we like looking at it.We grow a lot of our own herbs (rosemary, thyme, etc.) and dry them. This set works really well to crush them before I add them to whatever I'm cooking.It's nicely heavy, so it doesn't skid all over the counter, but not so heavy that it's difficult to work with.This would make a great present for someone who likes cooking.
