Amazing for Dogs—and Now Part of My Own Routine!
I originally bought Musher's Secret Paw Wax to protect my dogs’ paws from hot pavement and rough terrain, and it’s been fantastic. It creates a breathable barrier, helps prevent cracks and dryness, and keeps their paws in great condition year-round. But here’s the surprise: I started using it on my own feet after showers, and I’m hooked! It absorbs beautifully and leaves my skin soft, smooth, and protected—especially on dry heels. The large 16 oz tub lasts forever, even with daily use between dogs and human feet. Simple ingredients, effective results—this stuff is a household staple now. Highly recommend!

Your pet will thank you
This is an excellent product. After only 2 days of use, we noticed a big improvement in our dogs pads. This product has the consistency I would compare to Chap stick. Not greasy or gooey. No need for cleanup. I would highly recommend this product for your pet.

Musher's Secret: THE Best Paw Balm for Dogs Walked/Exercised on Cement, Macadam, & Salted Streets
Musher's Secret comes in a round container and quickly melts from the heat of your fingers so it applies smoothly, and easily to your dog's paws. When I first started using it, I put way too much on. Less is More. Do not try to fill the spaces between the claws. A thin covering on only the paws is sufficient, and within a few days, the paws will start feeling more pliable, and softer. Without using balm, the paws can become jagged edged, rough, and even cracked. It has a mild, pleasant smell. The best value for the money is the large 16 ounce container. We apply in the evening before he goes to his crate, and apply it once daily, no more. This will not protect your dog's paws from splitting wide open in 120 degree Arizona summer heat on black macadam streets however, so do not expose your family friend to anything more than you normally would. Musher's Secret just keeps the leathery paws moisturized and offers some protection from wintery streets that have been salted. We are using it on our 2nd family dog, and it keeps him happy, and it will keep you happy too! Buy it, it works.

Works as stated, protect paws from blistering.
Mushers Secret is phenomenal!!!! I live in AZ. This last week it reached 116.and bounced around from 110 up and down. I have two Boston Terriers and a pool. There is Kool decking on part of the pool but then from that is stamped concrete. The Kool decking is cool for bare feet but the stamped concrete is hotter than the temperatures.it blisters their paws. I was putting baby socks to 1 year on their feet then wrapping vet wrap around the cuffs front and back. But that is a pain to put socks on 8 paws everyday. I heard of Mushers Secret and read the label and I was sold! It is made to protect sledge dogs from frozen ice on their paws. But it Al's keeps dogs paws protected from hot asphalt.well my back yard doesn't have asphalt but cement gets hot too. It even says it is for horses hooves also. So this jar is 1 lb but I am going to purchase another jar for my horse as he needs this on his feet as well. His hooves dry out and crack so this product will solve that problem. Getting back to my dogs.....their paws are so soft now and my hands feel softer too since I rub it into their paws. They like the foot massages too. I swear by this product. So yesterday I oldest Boston had to see her vet to see why her neck was so sensitive. And yelped everytime I touched her. But while the vet tech was asking questions and taking her temp. I told her I had bought Mushers Secret for Veeza (14) and Cash's (12)paws. She said, "oh my gosh, I love Mushers Secret! I have used it on my old 16 year old do." So we talked about how great it is.

High reviews of it on dirt and gravel roads without liking off from a Shiba Inu puppy.
While neither Maizy (Shiba Puppy in training) nor I can attest to how well it handles severe weather yet, I am happy to report on what I have noticed thus far on Mushers Secret. 1. Mushers' Secret MS) cannot be found at most local pet stores. This I consider a negative fact for ER needs while traveling. 2. MS has a nice, slight and natural scent to it vs. a fake and a bit strong aroma like a non-brand one from a major, local pet store did. Sorry I don't remember the name of it. 3. It's very well known, which can be helpful. 4. Due to the off brand version barely lasting a day, I was extremely surprised how MS has lasted days on Maizy (Shiba Puppy in training) even on Rocky gravel and dirt roads. 5. MS has helped soften and bring back the youthful and healthy paws of Maizy from the Dirt and Rocky gravel roads. 6. A little bit goes a long way. :). Due to cost per ounce, I decided on trying the large MS. 7. I am surprised happily, but Maizy (Shiba Puppy in training) has not tried to lick off the MS off of her paws. She is teething. I have not tried it as a nose butter on Maizy. 8. The large container of MS is pretty huge, so I would suggest maybe getting a small box or container to put a little bit in for ease of putting paws in it while keeping big container clean. ##MS, please consider making the large size container with a removable mini container on the inside for paw "dipping" option. Just add holes in the mini container for dipping of paws to get just enough MS and for quick wash and dry as needed. Do I recommend MS? Yes, and I hope to recommend MS even more highly after hopefully positive results this Summer.

Good product
Works pretty good. I really had to glob it in between his paws when the snow was hard packing because it like to collect and ball up and then he woukd start limping. So far that is fixed and he doesnt mind the applicating either.

Good for senior doggie
Impressed. I'm using this to help my almost 18 yr old geriatric dog stop slipping and sliding on my hard wood floor and it's been effective, better then other moisturizers I've tried. I do need to reapply multiple times a day, particularly after outside walks, but really happy with the product. Wish I would've started using it years ago.

excellent for dry rough skin
I'm a dog groomer of 8 years and have been using this product for probably at least a decade and it's the best for soothing and healing dry paw pads, noses and elbow areas, etcetera. It was originally created to condition the feet of Alaskan sledding dogs by creating a barrier between the skin and the ice. What's also great about this product is it takes very little to work; just scoop out a small amount with your finger and apply in a gentle circular motion to your pet. It won't hurt them if they try to lick it off. Used every day or a few times a week, you'll see a big difference pretty fast. Also great to apply on the paw pads on hot days for protection from hot concrete and asphalt!
