I am delighted, this cast iron one is slightly tricky because it has got holes, it is difficult to polish and make it look smooth like the normal tawas that i bought before from other sellers. There was significant work on the first day, cleaning it multiple times but still would see the fine black particles. Called up the customer care and they answered patiently and explained to me that this is normal. The first time after that still had some black particles in the first iteration , but then on the "gunta punganalu" come out delightfully , recommended to anyone who are willing to spend extra for a healthy product and a traditional one.

Three stars for not seasoning. I didn't notice the description and ordered. I got completely raw item. I worked on it for 2hours after that only I got it without black residue. I'm getting crispy unniappams now. Evenly heating. Material is good but it is up to you to decide.

Good plate.
The plate is good. However, it's surface is rough. So, you will have to season it well with oil. Small black particles do stick on the batter (just the first few times). Once the pan is well seasoned, it is great. This particular pan is so quite heavy- not a problem for me but it is something to know.

The plate is very rough and will definitely need seasoning. You shouldn't call it pre-seasoned. I washed it and did one round of seasoning but the grains of metal are still coming off. Should I continue seasoning it ? Will i be able to get rid of the grains?

The plate was rough and needed seasoning before use. And then i got nice crispy paniyarams without any difficulty in the first lit itself. It is a very heavy pan . Happy with this product

Very difficult to clean it if u like cleaning can buy it. Good after completely cleaned . Ouite good nicely puffed....ENJOY UR PUFFED PANIYARAMS..🥞
