I should have bought these years ago!Got them because I was ready for a change. I generally will go a few years between hair cuts or get it cut once every month or two so I never was one to waste much on barbers. But now finding myself on a fixed income and deciding to wear my hair short for however long the mood strikes I decided at the price trying these made far more sense that paying half of what they cost for one hair cut.This is a great set with many attachments so choosing what length you want to keep your hair is easy to do. Cutting my own hair was far easier than expected. I will admit I cut it a little shorter than originally planed but not as short as it could of been. So like anything else there is a learning curve involvedThe clippers themselves are made in the USA and have a quality feel to them. The attachments are like everything else these days and made in China which is fine because they do the job and outsourcing that while making what really counts here in the USA is why you can buy it at such a great price.i read reviews complaining about the scissors that come with this set being cheap Chinese crap. I found that though yes they do look cheap they are very sharp and work just as expected if not better. A decent pair of hair stylist scissors would cost many times the cost of this whole set!My one complaint is the so called book of instructions which is more like a small fold out poster with basic instructions and not a book. But again what you are paying for here is a really good hair clipper which would be well worth the price without all the extras.Bottom line - If you can afford hundreds of dollars a year (2x a month = $30 X 12) getting your hair cut than do it because barbers got families to feed too. But if like me without money to throw away (it just grows back) or just looking to cut costs somewhere these are a great buy and will not only pay for themselves but also help you start saving money real fast!The main thing to keep in mind whether cutting your own hair or that of other family members there is a learning curve involved and the hair cuts may not come out perfect at first. But once you get the hang of it people won't be able to tell if you did it yourself or paid for it.

Quality, ease of use, priced right, I could go on and on! This is my 2nd purchase of this Model MC3. The other unit still works, & I've had it for years. It vibrates a little more than the new one, & is a little louder, but like a Timex Watch, it keeps on ticking. The wife cuts my hair & wanted a new one, & hey, what do you do when you get free haircuts? That's right, you buy it. All kidding a side, this is a good unit, & worth buying it, you can't go wrong!

I have used this Wahl Hair Cutter/Trimmer brand for 32 years now. Quality has slightly gone down and the design has been slightly changed but only probably due to cost control efforts. The on/off switch seems a bit less solid comparing it to the ones 20 years ago and seems to weigh less but its the most budget friendly solid quality clipper in the price range. The Plastic hair clips that now come with the kit seem a bit weaker than the ones only 5 years ago but they seem more accurately molded to proper shape. The kit comes with a plastic cape and hair holding clip and 2 fine combs and oil for the metal blades in a nice black plastic storage case. The Self sharpening blades on this Clipper will last for years, mine have always lasted 4 to 5 years and can be replaced. The only reason it gets 4 stars overall is its on off button seeming less solid and the less solid plastic hair clips but mostly these 2 things wont affect usage over its usable lifetime for most people. Awsome Buy on this one..

My husband has some health conditions that occasionally interfere with his ability to get to the barber shop for his biweekly haircut, so I bought this kit to have a better way to keep his hair looking good between barber visits. These clippers are a vast improvement over just a sharp pair of scissors--the clipper gives a more even, professional result & the proper technique's relatively easy to learn, thanks to YouTube videos. He has a "business cut" (layered all over, a bit complex), but I'm able to do what's needed to keep it looking good, thanks to these.This clipper body is totally adequate for home cuts--it's well-weighted, balanced in the hand, has an easy-grip surface, and the clipper motor is powerful (much more powerful, by comparison, than some MUCH more expensive professional clippers I use for dog trimming chores). You can use the enclosed clipper guides/gauges if you want a gauged cut. I learned online how to just use either a comb or fingers to cut the proper lengths, as needed (varies on top, side, and back of head). These clippers are sharp and give a nice, smooth cut--the blade's even adjustable for close cutting, just by flipping a lever up or down.I'd just suggest that as you learn, you go SLOWLY and cut less than you think you should, until you refine your technique. Just a few cutting sessions will make you feel like an old pro, especially if you'll spend a little time looking through some of the YouTube videos available--they'll teach you some valuable tips about positioning the clippers relative to the hair growth pattern and how to easily trim around the ears and neckline. Easy breezy--you CAN do it! And these clippers make it a fast and simple feat. At least in our area, these clippers almost paid for themselves the first time I used them (less than the cost of two haircuts). Highly recommended!P.S.
