Mirrycle MTB Bar End Mountain Bicycle Mirror, Black

We now have this mirror on three of our bikes. That should tell you something.This mirror does require assembly before you can mount it to the bike. It arrives totally in pieces (see second photo). The instructions warn that tightening the two larger screws can be difficult as the screws are hard to turn, and the instructions are correct. I found it easier to grab a pair of pliers and grip the end of the mirror while I was using the supplied allen key to turn the screws. Note I protected the plastic finish by using a cloth between the pliers and the mirror. If you don't use something like pliers, it will be very hard to keep hold of the mirror while you turn the screws. The instructions are also correct in that the screws will "squeal" while screwing them in. Ignore their squeals of pain and just keep screwing - it gets easier to screw as you get close to the end. Don't tighten too tight at this stage since you will need some movement to adjust the mirror once you have installed it on the bike. WIth that caveat, assembly is quick, but be sure to follow the instruction photos about where to place the 6 supplied washers. Also be careful to fully insert the allen key into the screw head because if you don't get it fully inserted, it may round out the screw head (this is also covered by the instructions.Installation onto the bike is easy. They provide two mountings blocks for different size handlebars - my bike used the smaller one.Once installed, adjust the mirror to your desired field of view and then tighten the two big screws a little just to ensure the mirror stays in place.In use, it does what a mirror is supposed to do - it provides great rearward visibility. Unlike other mirrors that are mounted inboard of the hand grips on the handlebars, these bar end mirrors provide an unobstructed rear view behind the bike. The view is so good, I feel you only need one mirror on the bike (on the left side).Overall, I feel this is very good value for money and the functionality of the mirror is great. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this mirror.

I've had this exact item on my bike for 5 years now. They've been used extensively. They have a large viewing range and are easy to adjust. They've taken a beating with cramming into vehicles, leaning onto things, and occasional tumble. The paint is scuffed, but they're still going. They have literally saved my life riding on busy roads when cars almost ran me over. I've also added reflective tape to the backs of them. People often ask me where I got them and how much they cost.Only down side is with use they might loosen when folding in after all these years. It is still entirely functional. I keep the tool in my maintenance kit and tighten one of them down as needed. The other one still folds and unfolds without issue. I suspect I could take a lubricant on one side and glue to another part to solve this issue, but it doesn't bother me enough to look into it.These mirrors are an excellent addition. Easy to install, durable, and functional.Bought 2 more for my partner's bike and know they will be just as excellent.

Very good quality, easy to mount. Provides excellent rear view picture. Very reasonable price. I recommend getting two, left and right. Each mirror designed for either side.

I've used this mirror on my last four different bikes over the years. It's a great mirror. There is the right amount of convex on the lens to give you a good view of what's behind you and the mirror is clear. It is also very easy to install.As long as they don't make any changes to cheapen the quality of it I will continue to buy this mirror. When you find something good you just keep going with it until it gives you a reason to not to go with it.

It works quite well. Installation is fast and fairly simple. It has an easy to read diagram and a step by step installation guide. It does have a snug fit in the threads so you will need to apply some forceful torque during assembly but that's a good thing. Once you snug it up it stays that way for a long time. This purchase is actually my 3rd one since late 2017 or early 2018. The first one survived so many drops, falls, scrapes and even an endo. At one point I had to re-glue the mirror to the frame but I am thoroughly impressed with how well it held up. I got more than my money's worth on the first one before the mirror broke. The second one actually broke where the middle elbow attaches. It just cracked apart in two places in a V pattern. Maybe from tightening it, maybe from impact pressure, maybe from breaking down of the plastic but I'm not sure. It still lasted a couple of years... Anyway, I really like these Mirrycle MTB Bar End Mountain Bicycle Mirror , Black and if you want/need a reliable mirror for your MTB I recommend it.Mine is left-side mounted on a Trek, Stache 5. I may add a photo later but I'm sure you get the idea without one.

This is an excellent mirror. It is steady and secure. It can easily be adjusted to whatever viewing angle you prefer and when you have it set the way you want, it doesn't move unless you accidentally bump it. But if you do bump it, it is very easy to reset it to what you want.

As others have said, this mirror works just fine on a Brompton. Installation is a bit of a project, but once it's on and adjusted properly, it gives a good field of view, is fairly stable over bumps, and still allows you to fold the bike.

Nice mirror. Reflective surface is very clear. Easy to adjust and once tightened, it stays in place. Yes, the bolt that goes into the clamp for the handlebar tube is cut to a tight thread buts it’s not that difficult to thread in. At least you know it will never vibrate loose.

Por distancia y precaución (época de pandemia, línea 12 del metro sin funcionar, transporte saturado), uso más la bicicleta. Antes usaba un espejo con brazo flexible para posiciones pero vibraba demasiado. Este fue la solución. Leyendo las reseñas, vi que mucha se queja del ensamble. Consejo: antes de colocar en el manubrio, puedes armar las piezas SIN APRETAR los tornillos. Una vez fijo en el manubrio, el resto del ensamble es sencillísimo. No le afectan las vibraciones, salvo las muy fuertes, pero vaya, esas afectan hasta el manubrio. El campo de visión es amplio sin ser de esos espejos que deforman la imagen. Es compacto. Sólo tener cuidado pues al sobresalir un poco del manubrio puede ser común que le des un golpe contra una puerta o pared; es muy resistente pero el estar acomodando de nuevo en la posición perfecta si es engorroso. Una excelente compra.
