I bought this pump because it appeared to have no light in it, which is a massive risk to cats. I've tried pointing this out to manufacturers but they don't seem to listen. The light provides energy for mold growth - it's a problem. Not only is it next to impossible to clean around the light, but the pump is plastic so, you'll never remove it all. Mold does not grow anywhere in these fountains except for around the light, and it's black mild so putting a light in a cat fountain is just a stupid and wreckless idea. Lose the light in these things you're literally putting cats health at risk
