Narwhal (A Day in the Life: Polar Animals: Heinemann Read and Learn: Level K)

Splendid photos, informative little book. Both of my boys, 5 and 8 years old, equally appreciate it. Even I enjoyed learning about these Intriguing whales.

I’ve been in an epic battle with my father for the past few years who denies that narwhals are real (whether this is to annoy me or not is yet to be seen) so in retaliation, he gets narwhal stuff every Christmas (even my sister has joined). This made a perfect addition to his collection.

The book was purchased to accompany a stuffed animal plush Narwhal, for an autistic nephew.With a great cover photo, (and out of curiosity), *I* was compelled to read it before wrapping. ;-)Katie Marsico's children's book "Narwhal (A Day in the Life: Polar Animals)" contains some truly fantastic professional photographs.. The print is larger than some, so it's very easy to read, visually. The information was factual, interesting, and presented in a clear and easily understood manner. It's not a long book, so I don't imagine a child would lose interest or concentration, before completing.I recommend this book for young readers (and curious adults!)

I purchased this book for my 2 year old daughter. She is obsessed with Narwhals and I figured she would enjoy looking at the pictures. When she opened this book on Christmas morning she fell in love. She will not put the book down. The pictures are big and beautiful. Other family members have also enjoyed the book. Quite a bit of information about Narwhals, where they live, what they do during the day, what they eat, and a labeled body part map are featured in this well written informational book. This would be a great addition to a unit on Narwhals or polar animals.

I bought this for a school kindergarten project so we could cut out the pages and wording instead of researching it all and then having to waste my printer ink! Perfect solution and great price

An informative nonfiction book that does a good job teaching about narwhals. I bought it to go with the graphic novel "Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt." Frankly, I didn't know about narwhals!

Great book for early elementary non fiction study of Arctic animals. Clear sections, with many NF features the children can learn about and use in their reading of the text.
