Between the set up leaflet and the DVD, setting up was very easy. It came with everything that was needed to start sewing, spare needles, bobbins, implement for changing needle and other feet.The machine runs beautifully, its got a quiet soft sound and is a delight to use. For a beginner, like me, its simple to use yet has scope with 14 stitches. Many other machines in the same price range, don't have such a variety of straight stitches nor do they have a stretch stitch. Excellent Machine I would recommend to anyone who enjoys sewing for beginners or for household use ... Thank you Amazon and Brother

It’s a value for money product. I’m not a professional; I got it for mending/repair of garments and some simple sewing projects. This product suits my needs. It has 14 build-in stitch options, has an LED light and a top load bobbin style. The is no separate switch for the light- it is controlled by the power on/off button. There are attachments included for button hole, zigzag and zipper stitching and some freebies like seam ripper, extra bobbins and needles. Sadly, there is no automatic needle threader in this model. For the demo, I just looked up a video on YouTube and was able to operate the machine without any glitches. The machine came nicely packed and was delivered in mint condition.
