American Home K2R 33001 Spot Remover, 10-Ounce

K2R is very effective in eliminating spots for grease, oil, and dirt from garments that would require dry cleaning. The action involves a solvent, propelled by compressed gas, and an absorbent powder. The solvent dissolves the spot, the powder absorbs it. Sometimes more than one application is needed. This product has been around for years. It has been, for me, particularly effective on wool and cotton. Both fibers are absorbent.

This stuff is pure magic for stain removal, super effective, dries quick and easy to use. I use it on my laundry and have never had any problems or adverse effects. The only draw back is the smell is very strong

A friend who recommended this called it "magical" and she was right! Works well on carpet. Haven't tried it on fabric. Some old (like several years old stains under the couch) needed muliple sprayings to come out but newish stains come out in one try. It's smelly so you may want to open windows before using.

We bought expensive bar stools from a designer furniture store and was shocked at how the material attracted dirt that couldn't just wipe off with a damp cloth. They sent a tech and he used this stuff and it worked like a charm. He gave us a couple of cans and after using it up, we ordered a can from Amazon. You absolutely need to do a test spot in a place that isn't visible just to see if it will work on the stained material. This is a harsh chemical that dries quickly into a powdery film but the fumes are pretty noxious so ventilation is recommended. I used it on our sofa cushions and it took out the stains like a pro. Use a dedicated clean scrub brush and not the bristled lid for best results. They make a 10 oz can that you can find at specialty hardware stores for a little less than the 5 oz can sold here if you want to save some money and you are lucky to be close enough which would bring the value for the money MUCH higher than 3 stars.

Had a stain on some upholstery, tried cleaning it how I normally would, but that kinda made the stain bigger? So I googled it, found this stuff k2r, and wow it just about fixed the entire thing in one pass. I'll do a couple more but I'm very impressed.

excellent to remove dog mess and wine stains

K2R kind of works, I bought it to clean my fabric shoes that got ruined in my wedding with the rain, it sort of removed the stains. I also tried it on a few spots on an old couch--it did clean the food stains, but the mysterious, unknown stains are still there. Also, it's very dusty and smelly, very hard to get off of the fabric after you spray it on.

This is my go-to product for spot cleaning on fabrics. It seems to be the most effective thing on the market that I have used to remove stubborn stains on clothing, our couch fabric or the cloth upholstery in our car. I cannot find it in brick and mortar hardware or household supply stores so I order it here. One can lasts a long time.
