This heft of this jar makes it feel very sturdy, with strong thick glass that looks black and opaque under direct light, but that passes purple light if you point it towards a bright light source and look through it like a lens. The lid is plastic, solid black in color, and screws down snugly on a big coarse thread in a single turn. The jar is ostensibly air/smell-tight, and to my nose it seems to be so; not ready to go test it with the professionals just yet. I haven't had it long enough to check its performance in keeping the contents fresh, but it can't do any worse than what I've been using, plastic jars of the Tightvac Coffeevac 1 Pound Vacuum Sealed Storage Container, Emerald Tinted Body/Cap ilk. I really like the look and design of this jar and don't think I'll hesitate to get another.

Updated from 2 to 5 stars as the product continues to do a great job!It does it's job as stated. I have no complaints. The plastic top cover does not feel like it is as durable as I would like, it makes me nervous that it might crack or break if the lid is over tightened. However, thus far it has not and I intend to treat it well, so nothing does break. I purchased one Infinity jar and one Herb preserve jar to compare and the Herb Preserve does feel more durable, although both should get the job done and based upon their marketing flyer, could even be made by the same manufacturer (both have the same little flyer saying they product tested the jar and could preserve a tomato for months and both claim their product is the best on the market, but have different brand names... what gives?). The glass jar itself is thick UV glass and creates a very nice seal with the plastic, assuming the plastic lid never breaks.

Seems like it's made quality. Only airtight if you really tighten the lid on. If not tight enough, not airtight, not airtight, not smell proof. Otherwise works great. Holds about 2 Oz of dry material. Haven't had it long enough for longevity testing/opinion. Have high hopes though.

These jars are fabulous for using with my fresh herbal teas. They are secure and keep the herbs fresh. I love thr purple color and also that they come with fun labels to helo me remember what I put in them!

These jars are perfect for storing cannabis in. The jars are completely opaque so no light gets inside the jars. The jars DO have an airtight seal. I stored a humidity pack in each jar where the humidity pack lasted well over a year without drying out. These jars are also smell proof. Although the lids are plastic, they do have a airtight seal. I found that these jars hold alittle bit more than an ounce. I would say maybe an ounce and a fourth of cannabis. I've had cannabis stay fresh well over 7 months in this jar. Longest lasting being 15ish months before cannabis starts to lose its freshness and flavor. Will buy again if anything happens to the jars.

Loose leaf is the only way to go in my opinion and I prefer to purchase in bulk. (No use purchasing by a can full when it cost more and I'm simply going to throw away the dusty can.) Heavy duty and easy to clean. Neat appearance and I simply added a label on the outside to differentiate the contents. As far as benefit of Ultraviolet, time will tell. Love the glass! (I still need larger ones for that 1 lb bag of loose leaf tea!)

Perfection in a stash jar. Nice size. No smell.

Extremely high quality, throw my dank into it with an Integra Boost and the terps shine brighter than ever after about 2 weeks sitting in there. Must be a mixture of the great seal along with blocking all UV.

These are like a work of modern art. Gorgeous to display, great for keeping your herb in. Keeping freshness for my expensive herb was equally as important as style, as they sit on my headboard in my Japanese themed bedroom. They look marvelous! My only complaint is the price, especially for Canadians, or I would have bought more. Have more sales!

Excellent sturdy glass jar. I wish the lid was glass and not plastic lined with a circle of coated cardboard, but otherwise it is great. I use it to store loose tea and it fits the typical package (100g ~ 150g) of tea sold at the local tea shop. Works well with Label Once re-usable labels Jokari 47802 Label Once Erasable Multi-Use Labels Starter Kit with 70 Labels, Eraser and Pen so I can write down the current contents.
