Excellent Pen
This pen is great, which I would definitely hope so for the price. Clicks like a gunshot, quality materials, high quality fit and finish, and a clip that you don't have to physically lift to clip it to something. To take a moment for my random soapbox, I find that so many pens have clips that are so tight you can't just clip the pen to something; you have to either pinch the clip in such a way to force the clip up a bit, or press very hard while holding the material you want to clip to so it won't buckle. It's such a silly thing to like about this pen, but I like that I can tuck it into the spiral of my notebook or into a breast pocket (yes I am a nerd thank you) without having to think about it). It's not a cheap pen (and if you borrow this pen from someone and try to walk away with it, expect a swift and brutal retribution) but buy once, cry once.

An ABSOLUTE CLASSIC writing implement.
This pen brings back memories. My father gifted me his old Parker when I was 12 years old. I kept ahold of that pen through my freshmen year of high school but ran out of ink cartridges before the days of Amazon wherein I could just order refills online. That pen was lost to history, unfortunately, but this one works just as I remember that old maroon and silver beauty. An absolute must for any writing and EDC enthusiast. I did have to adjust my writing grip a bit to accommodate for the slender barrel, but I believe it improved my writing. those with larger hands may wish to pass this one up for that reason, however.

This IS your grandfather's Jotter which is exactly what I wanted!! Same great quality, and I ordered another - ONLY because I am notorious for losing pens. LoL

Very nice pen, but not for large amount of writing
I really like this pen, the click is satisfying and sounds nice and the pen feels premium. However, the ballpoint cartridge it has really feels like a ballpoint. If that style of older ballpoint is for you then fantastic you'll love this. I'm not big on it, gel pens for me as the smoothness helps me write much faster. I bought the gel refill Parker sells, and it's pretty decent but in my opinion isn't as good as the Pilot G2 (though it does dry faster which is very nice). The ergonomics of this are what made me stop using it as my primary pen. I'm a student, and I takes four or five pages or notes basically everyday. After about half an hour of writing with this it gets noticeably harder to hold it properly. The lack of a dedicated grip makes this a pen that isn't suited to my use case, however it may well be for yours. It looks really sleek, and feel premium. So for light note taking, signing, and such this is a fantastic option. For extensive writing over long periods of time, not so much. I should have figured this going in but its looks and feel made me want to make it work, but I can't. Hopefully you can, because this is a great pen especially for the price.

Simply a wonderful pen
It used to be that Parker jotters could be found everywhere, stationary stores, drug stores, college campus stores and the like. No they have all but disappeared from these locations. Sad. Those of us who still write and take a lot of notes have been stuck with the cheap plastic junk that has found its way in the market. They have to be sold a dozen at a time as that is only about a weeks worth. Yes there are a few fantastic pens if you are willing shell out a lot of cash. The Parkers are not quite the same as forty years ago. The plastic barrels can bend and the threads can strip. Overall today's are still better than most others. Great news is that Parker now has a full range of pens with metal barrels and caps. In addition to bright steel, the metal barrel come in dozen different. I need two for my work, blue and red. These are going to last. Priced from $7.00 to about $20.00, you can beat this pen.

These write OK and the ones I received were made in France however feel lighter that an old Parker pen my mother had. Comparing the weight, the old one is 20 grams and these new ones are 15 grams. That extra 5 grams does make a difference to the balance and feel of the pen, the heavier one feeling nicer in the hand. If you've never experienced an old Parker pen you will probably find these fine though.
