Works great for the price!
I already had a Soldron 25W soldering iron with a chisel tipped bit. I was finding it difficult to use it for finer applications like soldering thin wires onto premade PCBs and other fine work. This 8W soldering iron is definitely not the most powerful or the most reliable one for SMD work. But it does get the job done for a great price. A note of caution: the soldering iron's connection to the temperature regulator unit is a bit unstable, and sometimes the iron may not heat up. Adjust the connections properly and it will almost immediately heat up to the temperature set on the dial.

Not like that what I expected
Two star for its transformer and body. There is only temperature controller for show nothing happen on it. I just modified to a working controller adding a circuit with some components cost me around 100 rupees now controller also works as expected. I hope on next upgrade of your micro soldring iron, "Controller" should be working. Thanks to Amazon for best delivery service.

Pathetic build quality of the soldering station, Body plastics are cheap rated, Temperature measurement gauge doesn't match the markings.Soldering for 0402 components can be done, for long run not useful.
