Fairytale Fights - Playstation 3

First of all, this game is not a blockbuster kind of game. It's more like a cool idea, much like Happy tree fiends style, but with some characters we use to know from our childhood.It does not take itself seriously, its about cartoons with a more mature plot, galons of blood and and huge amount fo violence, sarcasm and tons of weapons. But simple, its not about huge and complex combos, or RPG style leveling. Instead, its about get in a tale, and kill them all as you can. I can separate this review in this matters.Story: So far, simple, but pretty much contains a lot of characters and themes from many childhood tales, grouping all together, to find a stolen ... thing from the three bears and gain their fame again. If you are hoping for a Metal Gear or Uncharted kind of story you wont find it here. But in its favor its actually a new kind of plot, although similar style game as Mario, or Ratchet and Clank, the story is quite original(thankfully no more princesses being saved). An indie kind of game. And its what game's all about, living some kind of fantasy, and it has for sure its audience. Like me.Gameplay: Essentially Hack and Slash 70% and platforming the rest 30%. No ridlers, no RPG, no quicktime events. Its the type of game you would play during 30 minutes of free time. Sometimes its kind of easy to die due to personal errors than for enemy attacks, but it keeps the balance on your lives, which is actually money, and frustration is not a killer due to fast comeback to action. For me is just fine, while im tired of Uncharted, Call Of Duty, God Of War style, this game might come refreshing time to time.Presentation(Graphics & audio): Audio has nothing to mention, not bad but also nothing great. On graphic side, its quite cartoony, but actually really pretty. Great art design, extremely colorfull. It may attract young, but its for sure no game for them, at least 15+. Visually is really visceral, specially while using sharp weapons, slowtime closecam shows decapitations, half body cuts, lost arms and legs, and a huge etc. And specially tons of blood. You can actually skate/slide on it for some fun or fast paced attacks.In conclusion, critically, it has flaws, not a perfect game, some may consider it too simple, maybe a 7/10 game. But it actaully depends on taste, not a broken game at all. In reality its good to see studios risking for new ideas, and also funny Ones, its about having fun, and at the asked price $15-$20 its quite good. But remember it al depends on what you want from the game. For me its a 10/10 game, cause i am actually enjoing it a lot, and having casual and enormous amount of fun, while playing those high budget games in parallel.

Great fun for solo play but the 4 player full screen play will make you soil yourself its soo much fun.HIGHLIGHTS:~Infinite live so no worries of game over.~Three difficulties so you get your fair share of game play~Game is lenghty so no worries of ending quickly~Stages got more extreme as you progress in the game~Boss fights almost feel like Dark Souls with the "YOU ARE DEAD" tears of sorrow~YOU CAN FREAKING KILL EACH OTHER if you choose "Friendly Fire"~Push someone in the hole if they stole all the loot HEHE~Each character is funny in their own way~You have Ultimate combs~DID I MENTION THE BLOOD & GORE... hahahaOVERALL:Its a great good. I will say I few cons for non bias purposesCONS:~Can be WAY to vivid and colorful(Simply take some of the HUE out)-No Biggie~Can lose your character easily due too similarities(Names on top of the head helps a bit)~Stages get super lenghty(Can be an issue if you need to leave or just wanted to play a quicky)~NO SAVE in stage(The game has auto save so you cant save manually)~Will have to repeat a stage in its entirely if stage is not completed completely(See top comments^)~Acts can get repetitive and you can find yourself getting sleepy.Which ever you decide, be firm in you decision. So I picked this game up because I thought it sounded entertaining and I needed a new little slash'n'hack. I didn't really expect much from it, but was I ever wrong to think it wouldn't be awesome. This game is amazing. I love the huge variety of weapons to choose from! And the storyline is way more complex than I expected it to be, it's fabulous. I also love that I can play by myself or with others, or online. Its great to have a game that's so versatile. I play this game almost every day now. And I love the trophies, they're awesome, I'm currently working on unlocking some of the hidden ones. Great game. I love it :)If you're not into blood and gore, and twisted little plots, I'd stay away from this game. Think Tim Burton. It's that kinda thing. If that's your thing, this is your game :)

Terrible game. Lame story line. Very simple and repetitive gameplay. But if you're looking for a game that provides simple psychotic fun for 2 people, this game is for you. My wife and I enjoy playing it together at the end of the day when neither of our brains have energy to do much else. Also, you can skate on puddles of blood and thats probably the best part of the game. Oh, and the traps you have to navigate through are frustratingly stupid and impossible.

I played a demo of the game years ago and decided to finally buy the whole thing. What I like most about it is that the controls are fairly simple to us. I do terribly when there are lots of buttons to push. The graphics aren't what you'd get from the PS4, but that's to be expected since it's an older game.The M for Mature rating is serious. There is a lot of comic blood and people getting cut in half or dissolved. Probably not great for young kids to play.

I thought this game was great, its a good game to play if you just want something that takes NO strategy or thinking, its just a good old fashioned hack and slash! I gave this game a 5 star review based on the price i paid. I got it used on Amazon Warehouse deals, and only paid $9.99, and it was worth every penny. I say if you get it for under $14.99 it will hold its 5 stars.$15.00 - $19.99 - 4 Stars$20.00 - $24.99 - 3 Stars$25.00 or more - 2 stars, (wait till you can get it cheaper!)If you scale down the flaws in the game and compare it to the price you get it for, i think you can overlook some quirks here and there and have yourself a really good game!

This game is underrated in my opinion. I've had so much fun playing it!
