Making Friends: A Guide to Getting Along with People

I ordered Andrew Mathew’s book Making friends and got some Dreamland book .. very disappointed... replace/refund as soon as possible

This book changed my life, the worst thing about it is the title which is very off putting.To put it simply it's more about looking at yourself and the cause and effect of how you act - what you give is what you get etc.Let me put it this way, it's like an outer body experience that makes you look at yourself and slaps yourself around the face to snap out of the rut YOU have gotten into by the way you behave.Once I accepted that perspective this book is amazing with simple steps to 'Self Help' and be more thoughtful and understanding which leads to a better self.

Yeah this great book covers greater depth than just making buddies and or one to one relationships . The book examines how we develop our patterns in life , and how we can change and develop . Application of such change is not as easy as it sounds , but worth the life long journey . My psychology teacher (first one ) said that a relationship is much like a career where you make yourself useful to be hired . There is no such thing in human relationships as unconditional love , although some parents can get close to it sometimes .If you want unconditional love , get a dog/cat , but the journey is complemented with some positive human relationships .

This was easy to read and had some words of wisdom in it, however it seems to be more aimed at management than a lonely middle aged woman such as me.

Interesting reading. At the end of the day it is all down to oneselfand if you will allow yourself to choose what to do.
