A truly stunning color book.
Oh my goodness!!!! This book is absolutely stunning!!! I really wasn't too sure what this book would be like when I pre-ordered it. I was hoping that it would at least be comparable to the Posh books of Thomas Kinkade. The truth of the matter is that it absolutely is far better than the Posh versions - and they are magnificent! So let's talk about this book. I would venture to say that it is about the same size as a good wall calendar. It is glue bound (think of the way that a pad of paper is glued.)The paper is a wonderful bright white with a very fine tooth. I think colored pencils will be amazing. Not to say that other mediums won't work - just be sure to put a blotter behind your picture regardless of how you decide to color. The artwork is absolutely amazing. Whoever drew the pictures from Mr. Kinkades paintings did a marvelous job. They really did a magnificent job. I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone, though im not sure that everyone would be able color it. There is a considerable amount of tiny detail that would probably frustrate many. I would guess (I just received my book about an hour ago and haven't been able to start Coloring, though I intend to very soon) that this book is best suited for the the intermediate to advanced colorist based upon the detail and huge amount of shading involved in every picture. I could be wrong. There are sixteen pictures in this book. They are as follows: Snow White dancing in the sunlight, Alladdin, Beauty and the Beast falling in love, the little mermaid, Cinderella wishes upon a dream, Pocahontas, Snow White discovers the cottage, Tangled, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella dancing in the starlight, the little mermaid Ii, the princess and the frog, Beauty and the Beast dancing in the moonlight, the little mermaid falling in love, Tangled up in love, Snow White and the seven dwarfs. There are smaller, full color pictures of each picture in the back of the book. So theoretically, you could color each picture as Mr. Kinkade did.I truly can hardly wait to dig out my pencils and get started. The only problem that I have is, which one to color first. (Yes, they are that good!!!). I may have to just color them in order for lack of being able to decide one. LOLI will take a picture of a couple of these stunning pictures, though I am not sure that it will actually show you the beauty of this book.So have fun, be blessed, and color on!!

Beautiful with amazing paper and format
First, the line art is fantastic… just enough detail to help you get the colors in the right spots but not so much as to drive you crazy and there are ZERO thick black lines or areas. The entire book is printed on heavy duty paper with a subtle toothiness with thick glossy pages at the back with the original paintings to guide you as needed. The binding is done VERY similar to a Canson Bristol pad with gum at the top holding the pages in (so they can be easily removed for posting on your fridge or framing if you are especially fond of your work. I HIGHLY recommend ordering the Ohuhu (brand) watercolor markers when you get this. Colored pencils are spiffy and all, but this artist’s stuff just doesn’t look quite right with the shine of blended pencil work. Drop your $10 on this, it’s worth it. Have fun.

Beautiful book. Good for markers, probably not for pencils though.
The pages in this book are beautiful but very detailed as they are of the full paintings sized down, so it would have made a world of difference for the book to be just a little bigger. Also the reference photos are fairly small and are in the back of the book so you need to cut them out instead of having them alongside every coloring page like in the smaller ones. With that being said, I think it's a great buy despite it being a little different than expected. I would recommend for sure, but for this make sure you have markers with a fine tip or a colored pencil that has a harder core and holds a sharp point for longer like Verithin pencils. The paper it's printed on is a nice quality and the backing is sturdy as well. I like it a lot.

Get yourself a decent size space than most adult coloring books
I purchased this book (aka book 1) and Disney Dreams Collection Thomas Kinkade Studios Coloring Book (aka book2) -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1449483186/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Every picture in this book has either been cropped smaller (with less background) or cut in half to make it two pictures for book 2. That said, I encourage getting both (book 2 also having more pictures and from more Disney films). For one example book 2 has a picture with a prince and princess on a bridge while book 1 has them also surrounded by a forest. Another example is the seven dwarfs all mining together in one picture for book 1 and as two pictures in book 2.The size of this book is larger and more in tune with a large sketch pad. While this book has a "Thomas Kinkade colored version" of each picture, those colored pictures are smaller* than the uncolored one and all in the back. *Note: that is a small-scale version, not cropped smaller version. The coloring can be time consuming (seems best done with colored pencils vs markers or gel pens), but not so much so as to cause frustration (at least foe me, personally). As I explained in my review for book2, the uncolored version is less detailed in a way one can choose to say fill a cloud in with all one color, or can go with a more detailed, multi-colored shaded cloud.
