Essentialist Women's Stretch Knit Extended Length Pencil Skirt

Words cannot express how happy I am with this skirt (I got both the red and the burgundy colors). I have a very well developed sense of style, along with what it appropriate. These skirts are the epitome of appropriate for the office. And, I'm not a prude who worries about modesty.I'll do my best to describe the skirts. The waist is fitted, not elastic, and the zipper is properly placed on the SIDE (not the front or back). The fabric is on the thin side, but not sheer, and feels like crepe. It has some stretch to it, but doesn't look like knit material. These are not "bodycon" ... thank God!!! These are good quality, TRUE pencil skirts that hit mid-calf on me (I'm 5'5"). The style looks good on everyone, and will hide flaws (real or imagined) while enhancing natural curves.It took me nearly two years of searching to find these skirts to add to my wardrobe. I don't like all the tight, sheer, too short/floor length stuff that's been available for far too long, so my wardrobe was looking worn out. Now, I'm building an entire NEW wardrobe centered around these two skirts. I plan on ordering one more in each color so I have them for later ... so I won't have to search for years to find them.I hope the designer/manufacturer will make some slacks in this timeless, classic style as well! More colors would be a huge plus.I have NOT received these free or at a reduced price. I paid the full price, which was well worth it. So glad I took the plunge, since it looks like I'm the only one to review these so far.

Love this skirt! It is a work place staple for me. The material is thick enough that it being unlined is ok - even preferable for warmer climates. The side zipper does struggle over the waist band seam, but other than that construction is decent. I am typically a 14, and the XL fits perfectly. I am 5'9" and the skirt hits nicely below the knee.

I wish this was lined, but I do like the fit. It looks a little nicer with spanx or similar underneath because the skirt material is on the thin side without lining. It's kind of a stretchy crepe fabric so it drapes really nice and doesn't wrinkle. Looked just as good at the end of the day as it did when I put it on.

Very nice skirt. I wear size 8 and medium fits perfectly.

The color was pretty. However, the material was thin and the fit was small. If you are looking for a thin skirt, would be good.

I was a little leery about ordering this skirt. I am 5'4" and 135lbs I ordered a medium and it fit perfectly and is so flattering.

Just as pictured. Really nice skirt that can be daytime or dressed up for evening. Fits well.
